I haven't watched an extensive amount of Jeff's content but from what I've seen, I broadly agree with the overall message. I think he has some helpful advice. One of the questions as a natural lifter becomes…is there such a thing as being too lean? In this video I'd argue if you have goals other than remaining lean (and haven't accumulated 10+ years training experience), staying this lean isn't the best route. In other words, why someone like Jeff can remain lean for sustained periods of time but it is not recommended for the average lifter. No shade whatsoever, it is a question of goals and priorities.
Furthermore, I don't believe Jeff actively advocates to get/remain as lean as him.
I like Jeff’s content just as much as anyone else but am I really the only one who’s going to say this?!… The dude is obviously on gear!! You can’t hold onto that amount of muscle & stay that lean year round!
I understand his perspective and where he is coming from. However, most fitness youtubers reviewing AthleanX have only seen a few of his videos. I can testify that Jeff has actually gotten bigger AND stronger from his earlier days on youtube.
you say this but there are plenty of teens too poor for roids and too lean for this video in the street workout community obviously I get the point, but you dont have to squat till you shred your knees and eat life-shotening calories daily.
That shit is easy. Choose your energy source… (there are two: FAT & CARBS) … Keep one low. THAT'S IT. Been on Keto for about three years. Lost about 100 in the first year (maybe plus another 3-6 months). Been "cheating" for the past three months with this simple rule in mind… my "non work out" six pack is still visible (haven't worked out a day while losing that weight). Gonna get SLICED in 2020.
Jeff is too lean. He's a great guy with a TON of awesome information, but even he knows he would gain muscle at a faster rate with a more realistic amount of body fat.

Great talk. Thanks!!
No matter how lean you are, if you do face pulls daily you won't lose strength.
His cheat is one piece of cake…. A YEAR.
May have something to do with it!
does this guy uses makeup?
what about jeff's apprentice? he didn't have to bulk past 10% or however lean he currently is?……
You cant lean and bulk same time as natural without steroids in all body
His body looks impressive – yes. But honestly, his face looks skeletal. I love jeff and all, but his face is concentration camp fatless.

Explain MattDoesFitness. He's incredibly lean year round and he's eating 6000 calories a day trying to gain weight. Thoughts?
Jeff clearly puts out quality information far superior than any other YouTuber. I don’t know this guy but he looks kinda fat.
idk why i am watching this video, im around 17 percent body fat and fucking love it

Yet another Cavalier hater…
You actually have the type of body renaissance artists would paint and sculpt. No homo.
