Regarding Arnold's first competition, after he spent some time in the stockade, (military prison) he got out to find his superiors took notice and brought in a truck load of weight lifting equipment. So he got punished and then was ordered to carry on and get bigger.

Nick just hit world's guiness number in repeating the phrase saying: " in 1980 mr olympia which was considered as one of the most controvertial Mr. Olympias of all time" every time he talks about Arnold's fair win in 1980 where the line was weak, Mentzer bad stomach and small chest, zane so small and not in his best look, others are disproportional and with thick waist, Nick look back to all the photoghrapy of 1980 Mr olympia and compare Arnold in his Worst condition to everyone else, he may lose alot yes if we took every body part separately, but in the overall structure, it's obvious no one was better in the overall structure than Arnold.

I have an un dubbed copy of that Hercules movie
It’s really not great
But you can tell Arnold was still a competitive bodybuilder in it
His shape was better than any of his other movies

Arnold is one of the most influent guys to bodybuilding midia, he as an actor influenced so many teens to work out like Cedric and Brandon Hendrickson and imagine how their lives would be without this man on their lives ? Gym-world guys like Arnold reaching too success is something so difficult to do nowadays!

Arnold was The King Of Bodybuilding in the '70's. He just was. For you young guys who compare him with today's pro bodybuilders, you are missing the point. He was the biggest, the baddest, and the best for his time. When I started training 40 years ago, Arnold was the benchmark that we were all trying to emulate. Many people found his personality abrasive, but you had to respect his accomplishments. The reason he could pull off playing Conan the Barbarian is because he looked athletic as well, unlike today's champions.

Arnold is to bodybuilding what Jimmy Hendrix is to guitar. He was a true pioneer and drew attention to his craft like no other. Sure there are any number of basement guitarist that are “better” but there will never be another Jimmy. So it is with Arnold. Any number of pros can beat him these days but he’s still “the best” in his overall contribution to the sport.

Arnold at 80 percent was still better than all the rest on that day. 1981 was the real controversy.
