I truly believe that creating a regular home yoga practice will assist in making the planet healthier.

Creating this ritual at home invites balance into the brain and body. And when you are balanced you are able to cultivate a relationship with yourself, your true inner voice.

For me, the principle of Ahimsa is about having the courage to learn and develop your own inner voice.
It is through this connection we can make peaceful moves of value.
It’s through this connection that we can help each other and the planet.

Let me know how you are feelin' down below!

35:20 Benji watches Adriene through barely open eyes, then briefly does Namaste with her (!!) – yoga master dog – then is off in inner space again. Thank you both and Chris, what a wonderful practice to start my day 😀

Upon finishing this practice my body started to gently vibrate, particularly the roof of my mouth, soles of my feet and palms. It wasn't an unpleasant sensation but I've not experienced this before. Can anyone shed a little light on this please? Also this was my first time doing "horsey lips" but I'm not sure that its related 😅. Thank you for this beautiful practice.

This was a really nice calming practice. I like to do my yoga outside if I can and I had a little hummingbird visit me for part of the practice today. I started with a really sore hip and this was a gentle way to work out that soreness.

Doing August callendar and I had no idea how amazing this practise will be. I am tired after work and also things are not great, my chronic pain, depression weights so heavy on me and it is painful and destructive, I am still learning to be soft on myself at least a bit. And this practise was perfect for that. I feel so alone in this life and it feels like I have nobody and the part with “kiss on the neck” just made me cry so much. But it was good emotional release and about being the one kissing and hugging myself without blame or guilt… thank you Adriene, this really heals wounded souls out there ❤️

I started the day feeling hurt and teary but that's what I love about yoga and YWA. It teaches you to understand yourself, be patient and caring towards yourself and from there you are able to practice it with others as well. Ahimsa is my intention for the day 🙂 Thank you Adriene, as always 🙂

Swapped the schedule for a shorter practice earlier n the week and landed back here today. I didn't think it was what I would want, but realize that centering, calming and focusing was very helpful. Thank you as always Adriene and community. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

i hate yoga. yoga fills me with disgust. it is repulsive, evil & unjust. that is because i hate any form of exercise, any form of movement. but yoga is the one of exercise i've discovered which tells me not only "i am addictive", but "i am necessary". the improvements it has made to my life are subtle, joyous and profound. and this chakra thing is off the scale! im an experienced dharma bum, and i did a chakra meditation last night which healed me so much that i spent today feeling happy and energetic. spent 40 minutes sensing my heart talk to my head, as in actual words. same deal with the other chakras, 'cept they talked of the things they deal with, such as digestion or the luminous. and it's a repeatable exercise! women want me, men want to be me.
