Scott, you are right on! Parents are to blame. Kids are sitting on their ass not getting any exercise and eating junk. I see it everyday. People don't take responsibility on their selfs, it's always someone else's fault. As far as changing books that we grew up with, why? Just deal with it!

So when that kid becomes an adult goes to the doctor and the doctor says: you need to exercise and a strict diet because you are 100 pounds overweight,are they going to revoke the doctor's license? This is ridiculous.

If parents focus more on teaching their children respect instead of being offended by everything they disagree with, the world will be much better off.

I hear you about the skinny bit. Was the same for me. As an adult I have a couple things that could be labeled as “triggering”. Never crossed my mind to have the world around me changed to help me feel better about choices I’ve made. My life my responsibility to carry.

The reason Netflix did that, however, starts to line up with what you're moaning about here – revising content (they now own/have the rights to) so it appeals to a broad customer base. But don't let facts get in the way of your emotional rant. Somebody has to be to blame for this crisis. At least you didn't invoke Hunter Biden's laptop.
Not to worry though. The snowflakes can edit story books and narrow-brained knuckleheads respond in-kind by editing history text books. Coming from a former fat kid who was 250 pounds at 17, i hated the way i looked and luckily was never out right called fat or bullied but i bullied myself for the way i looked and got in the gym and lost 100 pounds. I cant stand this obese positivity bs. Make a change for your health and stop listening to enablers

Context, I think 🤔. "Fat" is a thing for sure and there can be medical reasons that remove "fault" from the equation.
I'm all for teaching health, keeping the word fat and encouraging folks to get healthier. I don't think shame or comparison is a great start; far too many are growing up comparing themselves to unrealistic standards of social media lives, magazine models, movies/TV show and other unrealistic criteria already and they teach their kids to the same and stay perpetually stressed and miserable.
Sure, keep "fat", "ugly", etc, but keep it in context and encourage health and self-improvement. Erasing words is worse than stupid anyway, it's self-defeating (a new word eill eventually mean the same thing). Few seem to prefer the solution-oriented approach and THAT is a bigger problem(as you clarify, pressure can make you stronger or make you crack, approach and perception make a huge difference there). Human nature being what it is, kids often learn from parents and peers that being cruel is fine and until that changes it'll keep happening despite the words.
It's also icky that water bottles cost more than soda, a salad costs more than a burger and a snack of veggies costs more than a bag of potato chips or a candy bar. Poverty makes for tougher choices in that light and only makes things ickier. I don't see easy solutions for that either.
Leave the books alone. Don't like them?…then write something else yourself. Don't read them. Don't ban them. Certainly don't change someone else's work. What gives you the effing right? Freaking ministry of truth changing history BS.

Political correctness is a means for perpetuating societal weakness. It's easier for self-victimized people to impose themselves socially to assert power than it is for them to look in the mirror, identify that they have a problem, and take the necessary steps to implement solutions.
I think im real life most people are too worried about themselves to care who’s fat who’s not. We do have to acknowledge some of the popular children books like Dr Seuss have racist undertones. Calling eachother fat or skinny shouldn’t be a reason for censorship though.
