My legs ALWAYS get bigger when I do squats/lunges even when I’m eating at a regular Calorie intake. So I started doing it 3x a week and less weight.

Ayyyy all my og tubers getting engaged and married. Congrats. Yeah that bulk thing. I never wanted to compete except maybe do one powerlifting comp. It took me two years of steady heavy lifting to put on size. Four years to strain my buttonups and pants to buying “lifter” jean brands cuz I wanted huge quads and I did that running Jeff’s programs (top notch I must say). Stop listening to bro brands that only sell the “toning” bikini programs with the big isn’t feminine scare tactics.

Thank you for busting the carb myth because I used to be afraid of eating carbs.

50g–70g was my carb intake and must be from "healthy source" and 100g if go crazy lol. because I was little overwight and thought I had insulin resistance (heard from doctor if you have big waist that means you have insulin resistance). yes lost I lost weight but it was hard diet with a lot of restrictions

after watching you guys I got back to eating carb and sugar and everything (balanced diet with counting calories). I still losing while gaining muscle and this is crazy !

I won't lie when I eat white rice I feel like im gaing weight because of how insulin spike idea is deep inside me even if it don't actually increased my weight but I will keep goin' no matter what

lol but one thing on the bulky thing.When I was younger and got told weightlifting makes women bulky whenever my arms got bigger from working out I would think it must be fat because working doesn't make you "bulky" but I think people's definition of bulky varies. Because other women have called my arms bulky and muscular but I am 5'7 and my flexed biceps are 12.5 in around. But glad to see your back, love the video! <3

I disagree with the “toning” ideas in the lifting world. Dancers, yoga and pilates people are really toned, which is a different look than that of lifting. I feel like lifting almost “inflates” the muscle and makes it bigger but somehow shortens it, while the other forms of exercise both strengthen and lengthen the muscle without adding volume. Martial arts people are another example.

Another thing with the carbs after dark myth, people choose very poor foods when their day is almost over. People don’t want to cook and want something to snack on with no effort.

To push back on the carb stuff tho: Regardless that calories don't negate the effects of hormones and all the implications that holds for EASE of limiting calories for weight loss, the way I FEEL when I limit carbs has improved my quality of life immeasurably. Not everyone would have this result, but if you do, it is 100% worth giving up or limiting that macronutrient. Low carb diets can also be therapeutic, for example, for people who have a neurodegenerative disease or type 2 diabetes. My dad, who had Parkinson's, was greatly helped by eating low carb. I wish you had given the strong caveat that IF you have a healthy relationship with food or IF you struggle to lose weight or IF you have a condition that warrants it, THEN there is nothing harmful to limiting carbs and in fact it might be helpful. The blanket statement that it's never good to limit carbs is just false and kinda irresponsible. :-/
