youre doing great work m8
mike mentzer should of won the 1980 olympia, tom platz should of beat franco in 81
Missed Arnold's Crucifix pose, for shame! Haha
I'll do it. I take up a lot of space.
Lee Priest OWNED the Victory pose.
Jay has a pretty small waist and crazy lats nick he is the only monster mass that has a small waist of course not really small but for his mass is really small
artemus has a nice crucifix
Lee priest had and still has the best victory and crucifix pose. 22" arms on a 5'4 frame…killer forearms and triceps. Check his posing out. most under rated bb of all time….ifbb political bullsh*t.
Did Mike Mentzer even lift bro?
Cedric does it well. Also, Danny Padilla.
👍👍
The reason mentzer did it so well is that on top of emptying his lungs and pulling a vacuum he is also engaging his pecs as if he were taking a high inhale. Noticing how they are pulled tight left and right.
without a doubt Sergio Oliva has got the best crucifixion pose ever.
Hey Nick, you forgot to add a photo of Kal Skalak.
I don't know if you remember his pose where he was supposedly be the winner and got robbed.
that's when he posed like if he was really crucified!
though I know what you're mean about this crucifixion video poses. Greetings.
I love the crucifix pose, I always do it myself in the mirror to see which muscles i should focus on.. lol
Mike Mentzer should have been the 1980 Mr O. He is my favourite golden era bodybuilder.
When I saw the title for the video I immediately thought of Kal Skalak (think that's how to spell his last name)…
Nick, Ronnie could have pulled it off well. He did do it some prior to his 1st Mr O win, as he got bigger I think he was not doing the pose at all. The pic you posted in the video looks like around 2000-2003, by then he was doing a variation of it to say "who is as wide as I am…nobody". Only person who was close or equal in width was Ruhal and Jay a year or so before he won the O. Even then, Ronnie was wider, but the nerve damage to his lat and triceps was too great.
man you know your shit
You should look up Brian Buchanan,

Mentzer…gawt damn!
At 1.00, the best crucifix pose ever and Mike wasn't even modern-day "big"!!
Was that Ronnie at his best, or post career?
Dude i love these types of vids! Keep em coming!
sergio olivia had one of the best crucifix pose. you have find a better picture of sergio. love the video. also can you do a video about ernie Taylor and albert beckles please
Check out Eduardo Kawak's Crucifix.
big ramy wud be a monster in this pose i think
Take a shot everytime nick says pose two everytime he says crucifix pose. Crucifix pose crucifix pose crucifix pose.
Check out Artemus Dolgin's Crucifix pose Nick. Its so aesthetically beautiful to look at.
Let's play a drinking game!When Nick say "crucifix pose",then drink a beer!
Mike and Sergio were the best.
I think Momo Benaziza had a legit crucifix pose, I’m aware that there is an old picture of it that was printed like I’d like to say in Flex Magazine or Robert Kennedy’s mag.
Easy my favorite pose
I love Ronnie Coleman but…my god! he looks terrible in this pose.
Mike mentzer was the best at it!
The crucifix pose definitely brings out the flaws. Especially if you have weak forearms.
The crucifix pose is pose on you tube why the big fuss crusifix pose lol Ronnie Cole is is waste of timevhe. is not one of the greatest its reeves taking drugs to get big no no nick
Talk about genetics ! You can tell Mike would have had a good build even naturaly, or if he never lifted, for that matter,,,
You need to do lots of full reps with stretching in order to elongate the biceps and triceps. Most bbs today do not stretch and/or only do partial reps.
Arnold would stop at the bottom of a biceps curl for a pause before curling the weight again. This helped to form his long muscle belly insertions.
It seems to look better on shorter bodybuilders
Steve Reeves also had a awesome crucifix pose, wide lats and big arm 😉
this , front double biceps and "the ruhl" are my favorites
Coleman does not have the body for this pose….looks silly….for one thing, you need a small waist to pull it off because when you open your arms up, it draws attention to the middle of your body. Next, your arms need to be at least 2/3 the size of your waist….you do not see this today. The lats should be very dominant and finally the forearms should be good.
Good stuff, Mentzer is at the very top of my list of favorite bodybuilders for sure.
Imo this was his pose but his victory pose is perhaps even better. The reason being he was very aesthetic and had those huge forearms. Thanks for posting Nick
it looked like Ronnie wasn't flexing his lats or forearms lol, perhaps if he wouldve practiced a bit more he couldve pulled it off its hard to imagine the most massive bodybuilder of all time didn't have the mass for a good crucifix pose!
dude i have much respect to your channel but seriously now you did not include the most iconic the most legendary performance on this pose Kal Szkalak man he made it better than Jesus himself when we hear crucifixion the first in our mind is that picture of Kal Szkalak an then Jesus… i feel almost insulted from this omission… smh dude..
Mike Mentzer crucifix pose
Olivia’s Victory pose
& Frank Zane’s Vacuum pose
Epic! 🤩
But then there’s Arnold’s side chest pose that was unbeatable 👑
Just don’t bring up Serge
He was perfect 👌
Mentzer’s was the best, the template, combined with the vacuum! Bar none!
The only one who ever hit it and took your breath away was Mentzer! Olivia second.
I think 1:43 shows ray mentzer, not sure
