Arnis Physique is not really impressiv compared to the bodybuilders nowadays
With the IFBB rules, is that a problem for a guy like Calum von Moger who is a mr universe , to compete in the Olympia, which is his goal? Or can he move to the IFBB as long as he does not go back to another Federation?

NABBA Mr Universe was the one back in the day. John Grimek , Steve Reeves and Reg Park all built their bodies through full body workouts.
In the AAU competitions that were organised by Bob Hoffman bodybuilders at the time also had to do Olympic weightlifting lifts as well to demonstrate they weren't just ' cream puffs ' and that they possessed some kind of athletic prowess as well as a decent physique. The lifts were done first and then the bodybuilding posing was secondary.

Nick, in the late 70's I saw Bill Pearl at a GNC store in a MA mall right down the street from my house, he was there to visit someone who managed the GNC and he placed 3rd a few times in Mr. A. Even though it was after Bill was done competing he was still hugs and had a neck like an Oak tree, a truly strong looking guy that didn't get all his muscles from drugs alone
Arnold in his prime had and still had the greatest physique ever . Period . His body was that of a Greek god .nobody will ever come close to having a physique like his . His was perfection .

John Grimek was so good that whenever he was competing in a contest, the other contestants would start talking about who would place second. Sadly, he's reputed to have gotten a bad facial disfigurement in an accident and became somewhat of a recluse.
From what I remember, J. Paul Getty (the richest man in the world at the time) was the one who handed out the trophy's at the NABBA Mr. Universe.

I think this is an interesting question – maybe one you personally don't want to touch… But does / did the Nabba have all the dodgy behind the scenes stuff the IFBB does?
I mean did they have questionable placings / bubble guts etc that the IFBB does?
Also on the flip side, is there something that IFBB did for body-building that Nabba wasn't doing? Like making it more popular? improving conditions for their athletes (e.g. earning potential)? etc…

Bill Pearl came out of retirement, at 41 yoa, in 71 because Arnold called him out! Mr. Pearl answered Arnold's challenge for the 71 NABBA Mr. Universe, but Arnold didn't show up for his own challenge! Mr. Pearl won that 71 contest and remained undefeated in NABBA Mr. Universe contests. That year (71) Mr. Pearl defeated Sergio, Zane, Park, etc. Sergio and Zane had both defeated Arnold in earlier years. Pearl vs Arnold is probably the greatest bodybuilding contest that never happened! Mr. Pearl deserves the highest praise for his part in this episode in bodybuilding history and you would be doing a great service by telling this story!
