I also heard that he was banned for life from the IFBB. Shame, when Arnold came back in the 80s. It would of been awesome too of seen Lou, Serge and Arnold on stage again. Arnold was no where near his standards. So Lou and Serge would of been an epic competition.

The whole thing was a tactic designed by weider and arnold, because arnold knew he couldn't beat him. Serge came in not in his best shape, because he was told he couldn't compete he had come off contest prep. Even in the shape he was in he was the better body builder, but weider and arnold have pull.

The way ben and joe weider ran the IFBB was like a pair of insecure wankers that they seem to be. What right does anyone have to tell other bodybuiders if you compete in our federation you cannot compete in any other or you´ll be banned, America is supposed to be a free country ain´t it. They also act the same way down here in Australia as well.

What's the point in bringing up these controversies. Like trying to tarnish Arnold. If someone wanted to tell the truth, they should have done it a long time ago. Not after Arnold has had so many unbelievable accomplishments in bodybuilding and films

Serge lost 12lb muscle waiting with nerves and anticipation to compete Weider only allowed him at last days..was fantastic but not at his best because of that a little thin even here..UNFAIR but thats life. He was pissed off and never competed there again!

Arnold competing in the 1980 Mr O was sparked by the Frank Zane comment in 1979 Mr. O. Many people vouch for it. Is there any truth to it or just a myth?
First of all, I always thought Serge Nubret had the better, more pleasing, aesthetic physique than Arnold. My God, Serge looked like a god up there with his dark hollow eyes under the overhead lights and his panther physique that flowed so gracefully. And second of all, I suspect greatly that maybe the Pumping Iron film was kind of racist back in the 70's. I mean, where the hell is Sergio Olivia? All I see in the main are white guys (and I am a white guy) in the lime light. If you want the best or the creme de la creme of bodybuilding, he, Olivia, should have to be in there. He did beat Arnold years before. But yahoo, they did have Nubret in it…but with so little attention. He made a porno movie? Come on! That's so arbitrary and suspect to me. I know there was a kind of political fighting going on between bodybuilding federations, but I really suspect there was some racism, too. And yeah, Robbie Robinson was in it, too…but with hardly any attention. He was the prince of bodybuilding if you look at him. What a physique!
