Interesting video was not aware of Decola but he certainly looked good. I noticed Chuck Sipes was mentioned he was an old school superman who had a strong natural stance and had a sad end to his life.

I belive you can be a heavy weight bodybuilder 225 lbs and above if you keep your waist size checked, and they have higher body fat around 12-15% i belive. And that percentages are healthy and truly anabolic.Nor cadaver body fat percentages.

John still works out at Hagerstown golds gym. His arms are still huge. I see him daily. Great inspiration as to what staying in shape can do for your life.

John DeCola should have placed much higher than he did at the 1964 Mr. America Contest.  Same for Sergio Oliva who also entered this contest; who actually shown have won!  Unfortunately, Bob Hoffman had a hand in the decision making process.  Harold Poole suffered from the same faith and even lost the Teenage Mr. Contest to Jerry Daniels!!!????

John was my fathers friend. My dad worked for John at the Apollo Diana health club in Hagerstown, Md. in the 1970s when I was just born. He is a really humble man with a great sense of humor.

Mr. John Decola, a humble man with a good heart. Friendly and easy to talk to. I don't think this man would step on anyone's toes to get ahead. After several casual conversations with him, I can tell, this is a man who would feel dishonorable if he competed unclean. Today, literally today, he still works out, and works out very sensibly for his age. He is still in good shape . I asked him about aging and testosterone therapy, and as a matter of fact he recently got his levels checked, and his levels are normal, won't be needing the stuff. Goes to show that working out on a regular basis and doing it naturally is the way to go if you want your health to go far. The man is an Angel. Pleasure to have met him, The Honorable Mr. John Decola.
