The most Underrated Classic Bodybuilder ever – Nick’s Strength and Power

by YouTube Team

In my opinion Freddy Ortiz was one of the best bodybuilders from the 1960’s but he barely gets any recognition at all.

there's a vintage photo of Freddie Oritz and Larry Scott from the 60s that is just awesome https://www.reddit.com/r/bodybuilding/comments/cgv4wi/freddy_ortiz_and_larry_scott/
Scott was 5'7. it appears Ortiz is shorter than 5'6

Is he a natural body builder and is it possible to develop a similar physique by eating natural food and working out?

That’s how bodybuilders should look…

Guy has half of his delts like those of an untrained individual. That is lack of knowledge wich is fine given the context. He has a great physique regardless.

Freddy had nice long lats (good insertion points) and a square chest. It seems like modern day bodybuilders are now predisposed with higher lats insertion points that ruins the aesthetics of what a good V-taper should look like.

Was impressed and identified with him as a teen in the 60's thru Weider's mags. because I am 5'5' also and could see what can be accomplished thru hard work. Saw an update not too long ago with him working out with his son, still in great shape. Weider; in those days, was located in NJ where I'm from. I believe, a lot of strongmen : Ortiz, Draper, etc. were more regional at that time and not as nationally well known. When Joe brought Arnold over, everyone else took 2nd place for his attention.
