Why is it so bad? Because it can cause diabetes, obesity, addiction, and harmful chemicals being absorbed in the body. Its white wheat flour with over 80% of the good vitamins removed. There is usually sugar, preservatives and extra salt added. Processed wheat causes inflammation. The gluten inside of it is inflammatory and as a result can cause countless health issues. There is current research showing dead bread is addictive. Two slices of whole wheat bread can raise your blood sugar more than two tablespoons of sugar.
Why is dead bread so bad?
#1 It contains gluten which causes inflammation, hormone imbalances and health issues
#2 Its genetically modified wheat that contains amylopectin which is more efficiently converted to blood sugar than just about any carb, even sugar. This means dead bread can make you fat QUICK.
#3 Its addictive, devoid of nutrition, and can lead to diabetes and weight problems
A Caution Against Just Gluten Free
I don’t like white bread, whole grain, or even twelve grain, the manufacturing process is the same. Now what about gluten free bread? This stuff doesn’t have gluten. However while it has no gluten, most gluten free bread is processed in the EXACT same way as dead bread. So you have your preservatives, fungus, spiked insulin and lack of nutrition. Shit. Gluten isn’t the only problem with bread. As you can tell there is a lot more than just gluten that makes modern bread bad for us.
Does That Mean You Should Avoid All Breads? Do you have to live out the rest of your life eating out of lettuce wraps?
The answer is no.

The solution is sprouted grain bread. Sprouting is when you germinate the grain and allow the gluten to be neutralized and the nutrients to become more bioavailable. This means your body will now be able to absorb all the nutrients. Its easier to digest, with more nutrients and lower glycemic.
FREE PROMOTION TIME! The kind I like is Ezekiel sprouted grain bread. Which has a whopping 6 grams of fibre per two slices and 8 grams of protein. Its Biblical. It’s a more complex source of protein and for my chicken nuggets it tastes better too. The gluten is effectively render useless. Its alive and nutritious. Some would say delicious. Its actually healthy.
If you don’t have this exact brand in your next of the woods, look for either a sprouted grain bread The easiest solution? Look at the fibre and protein content. Per slice, the bread should have more than 2 grams of fibre and 3 grams of protein.

There's a big confusion here with bread. Most brands of breads in stores are bad for you because they are processed as hell and have a laundry list of bad ingredients. They expire much later than regular breads which should only contain flour, baking soda, leavening, water, and your choice of nuts, spices, or herbs.
Bread has been consumed by humans for thousands of years. If you really love bread but don't want any of the shit that's making people fat shop for it at a mediterranean or middle eastern grocery where you can find a lot of Naan, pita, and other types of bread that have less than a sentence of ingredients.
You can also bake your own bread (eat it fast because it will expire). There are a few brand name breads that are hard to come by (and are expensive) like Rudy's bread or any sprout grain bread which are delicious and have no soy lecithin or preservatives.
What about homemade organic whole wheat bread?????
