but then i will remain hungry? ive tried lowering to about 1700 but i end up feeling like im starving for the rest of the day
Simple man, your body since it has shed the 50 pounds now burns less calories on a daily basis, you need to reduce your cal intake or burn more calories
Ive experienced a similar situation, I have lost approx 85 pounds, my weight loss slowed down as I lost more weight. I have also been tracking my calories, and to keep loosing the weight I have been adding more cardio to my routine to help increase calories burned, this allowed me to continue to loose weight at a steady rate, hope this helps!

Try having a low cal day of say 1400 then go up to 1800 the next day so that your average is actually more like 1600, add some more cardio to your routine and you will end up being in more of a caloric deficit. Whether you are doing high intensity training for shorter periods or whether you do slower pace cardio for longer periods, at the end of the day it all comes down to the total calories burned versus the amount that you are eating.

I was 110kg, I now weigh 72kg – so a total weight loss so far of approx 86 pounds over about 11 months. My typical week goes like this – Sunday (Legs/cardio) 2000 Cal, Monday 1400 Cal, Tuesday (cardio) 1400 Cal, Wednesday (Chest/Cardio) 1650 Cal, Thursday (Cardio) 1400 Cal, Friday (Shoulders/Traps/Cardio) 1650 Cal, Saturday (Back/Biceps/Abs/Cardio), My cheat day is somewhere around 4000 Calories. Every day I get atleast 1gram of Protein per pound of my body weight, so about 160g, hope this helps
