Sad to hear about Shawn Rhoden, once again no doubt due to serious steroid abuse over an extended period. Based on recent deaths and serious life threatening ailments suffered by professional body builders, and the death of so many bodybuilders in the past due to prolonged steroid abuse, why would anyone do this to themselves??? In a word…ego. I know it will never happen but imagine how many lives would be saved if pro bodybuilders did away with the juice?

They will never come back with 100% health or ever be at 100% health living this lifestyle. Big difference using weight training and diet to keep a healthy look physique your whole life vs the yoyoing of year round cut phase vs bulk phase. Lets not forget about all the pharmaceuticals and dog shit supplements they use too. Some of these people will live a very very short life span and the lucky ones live less than average life span. Its funny when Rich Piana said this lifestyle is supposed to be healthy LMAO

Competition is gr8 in any sports but life is always greater and important than any competition, fame or money. Once u dead, ppl throw few flowers, sob, and it's over…
Live life to the fullest and live large
Say no to drugs and expand your life expectancy, leave the rest to God or if you r atheist then blessings to you as well

Man, wishing Shawn a full recovery. But there's no denying that these pros have been doing something that has been impacting their health. In the recent year or so, we've seen a few bodybuilders battle issues. Whatever these guys are taking or doing needs to stop. This sudden wave of bodybuilders falling sick is worrying.

Man! Chris Aceto has a rough track record lately of his guys having pretty severe health issues right before shoes.
Might be time for him to rethink his approach?

GI ulcers requiring multiple transfusions and a hb that low doesn’t sound great. Hope his Drs looked after him and he’s well in the mend from here on out, even if that means stepping off the stageb

BODYBUILDING IS NOT A SPORT – it's competitive eating, being a drug addict, repressed homoerotic fixations and gay porn rolled into one. I'm looking at you Bostin.

I dont think stomac ulcers are due to steroid use. Hypothetically it could be stenosis of portal hepatic vein (atherosclerosis or liver cirrhosis) which leads to overabundance of blood in intestines.

I am just not a fan of this guys training style. It reminds me of Phil Heaths' style. Its not very intense and lacks that heroic Tom Platz or Ronnie Colemen balls to the wall style. I judge a bodybuilder by his balls out training style. I saw a video of this guy leg pressing and it was horrid. I don't see how this guy gains at all? it has to be on all the pharmaceuticals he uses. Its obvious the main reason he is having all these health issues is the fact his body is rejecting all the crap he is taking and it is shutting down. I am not a fan of his physique and he is just not my idea of a Mr Olympia. Its becoming so obvious now that allot of these pros have pushed the drug end of the envelope to such extremes their bodies are shutting down and sadly some of them are killing themselves. I get a big kick out of the bullshit comment they would still be champions if they where drug free. Please lets call a turd a turd. If the sport was drug free very few people would even give a shit about it. The number of people I see in most gyms who really train to failure and make fair gains anymore is so small I can count it on my one hand. It seems to me the new younger crowd has no desire to spend the decades and continuous ass busting to failure workouts to gain size naturally. All they want to do is train for strength then quit in a few years. Sad but true. Lets keep it real.
