Lou Ferrigno’s 1992 comeback weighing 320lbs, at age 41, after a 17 year hiatus, is one of the most impressive comebacks in the history of bodybuilding.

Lou was a big man and obviously bigger than Dorian Yates.Dorian I'm sure was 260lbs stage weight to Lou's 315lb
Maybe the most gifted skeletal structure of all time
I havent seen a man as diced as serge nubret
Hahaha its like child game. I,m bigger than you i deserve more attention
All time favourite body builder he was a monster
I sorry Nick, you must be one of the younger fellows.
Lou Ferrigno would have never beaten Frank Zane. Even Arnold lost to Zane.
Lou was good but he never won the big ones. And you simply don't know about the competitors that were standing in his way from 76-79.
Mike Mentzer, Kal Skalak, Danny Padilla "the Giant Killer". But most importantly Robbie Robinson who beat him in the Masters Mr. Olympia always had Big Lou's number.
But the main reason he retired was……Money!
Lou made more money from the successful Incredible Hulk TV series and arguably became more famous than Arnold himself.
I miss the days when you had to be balanced and sheer size did not mean you would win a contest.
Nowadays you can have a huge gut and a flabby ass and the size queens will give you a pass on conditioning.
Not so in the 70's.
Frank Zane ruled in the same way as Dorian and Ronnie did later on and it's a shame that this quest for size has ruined bodybuilding.
Can you honestly say you would rather look like Lou Ferrigno than Frank Zane?
lous dad disowned him after he came 3rsd to aronold he didnt deserve lou as a son!
Look at the torso homie.. We dont see that anymore
Lou ferrigno was the foolish bodybuilder ,he could have been won Mr 10 times after Arnold leaves
70’s. Bodybuilding work ethic still paid off years later. His chest development is a clear sign of that compared to today’s BB!
If he made Dorian Yates look small he is pretty huge
Lou ferrigno was better than Dorian Yates
Fe-re-ne-o, Not ferriGno. Its an Italian name. not an American name
placing 12th and then the next placing 10th that's a joke. I thought he should have been much higher than that
He was just at an apex ultra prime at 41, size and conditioning speaks for itself, those calves are seriously note worthy
Lou is one of my all time favorite bodybuilders. He's been awesome in everything he has done, and his comeback is one of a kind.
One word Awesome!👍🏻
Im just admiring those calves
USELESS MUSCLES! Muscles you use for work or fighting is what is practical
They didn't have designer steroids, implants, testosterone injections, nutrition, supplements and equipment they have now.
He was awesome of King of Queens. I like the episode where he was supposed to be training Doug. Doug kept distracting him with video games so he wouldn't have to workout.
Great genetics, I'm a huge Yates fan, but he did look better than Yates, symmetry and overall size. Monster
He clearly whopped ARRNAALD too but Joe Weider had other plans.
He should campere his CALFS but WITHOUT IMPLANTS!! 😉😂
Lou is a beast!!! Truly a great!
And he ALWAYS made Arnold look SMALL, but Arnie was the Weider protege and would NEVER lose to anyone. FACT.
he was a beast…ive always thought he was better than arnold….anyone who says he didnt look good in 1992 is a fucking blind bastard…that dude was a freak
Weird how Lou looked just as big, if not bigger in 75 at 265 compared to 320 in 92.
The Hulk TV series first aired on Nov. 4th 1977 but I believe Lou was tapped for the part in 1976. If memory servers me correct, I remember reading about his dilemma over that decision in one of Weider's Muscle Mag issues back in the '70s.
It was funny, Lou said in another video about that particular comeback, said "I trained like a mudda" LoL
When Lou left in '75 there really wasn't any money in bodybuilding. These guys were paying their own way and doing it for the love of the sport. They all pretty much had to have other jobs. Lou left for Hollywood and the chance for a big payday which he eventually got.
It helps being almost 6’5.
But I am a fan of both of these gentlemen.
He retired to make more money… Its so obvious. Olympia isnt paying the same bills as being the Hulk or Hercules
Lou is awsome
