I wonder. During your weight conversions, could you possibly add the UK system of Stones and Pounds? For example, there are 14lbs to a Stone and I weigh 12st 2lbs which is 170lbs or ?kgs

Vince Gironda — soft "G" — pronounced like a "J". Also, preacher bench was called 'preacher bench' long before Scott's name got appended to it.

I didn't know he passed away.
He was my all time favorite back in the early 80's when I started lifting.
I started out as a kid with 12" biceps and ended after a illness at age 37 with 19.25 " biceps.
I'm 51 now and haven't trained since and out of curiosity, my biceps are 17" still today. Better than a lot of x pros that use to juice.
I almost died from gall bladder disease. Had 2 open exploritory surgeries and 5 ERCP's through my throat. My abs today are cut and tied to hell and back. I have surgical hernias across my gut. And I feel guilty every day for not training but I just can't muster the fortitude to return.
Point being, stay natural. My Gaines have stayed with me through out the years, especially after using Larry's training methods. Good health to all of you.

Hey, Nice Vette! Undernourished as were 1970's Vettes but COOL lookin.  Just add headers, some Dynaflow or flow masters, an Edlebrock manifold and a 650 Carb to fix that!! Headers are Pain in arse, do the rest and you'll gain 35-40 ponies!!

Thank you, Nick. Larry Scott was one of my favorites, also. To travel from Utah to NY for the paltry sum of $1,000.00 showed dedicattion.
However, I think Scott's decision to bow out after 2 Mr. O's had as much to do with his being prophetic. Sergio was on the scene in 67 then Arnold in 68. Giving away a lot of height and weight.

he was correct to retire. Sergio and Arnold enter the monsters.

People talk about Larry's biceps and they were fantastic but triceps make up 3/4 of the arms and Larry also had fantastic triceps and forearms. People always seem to overlook the triceps for some strange reason but if u want big arms then work on them triceps. I salute you Larry fantastic arms way ahead of his time.

Did you just say he would have won many more Mr Olympias in the 1960's!?…..not with Sergio Oliva competing he wouldn't have. I heard that it was because of Sergio Oliva looking the way he did is the reason he retired.
