Those bubble guts are a disgrace. At that level, one should look good from all angles, seen and unseen…. And Arnold was still the best in the 80's lineup. His lower back lats blew away everyone…Zane looked anorexic next to Arnold in one of those photos.
Fun fact: Arnold chose NOT to be on the cover of Pumping Iron.

Arnold's 1980 win was all about $$$. They wanted to bring more publicity to bodybuilding to increase revenue. How do you do this? Make a famous person win the Olympia. Arnold could have walked on stage with a beer gut hanging over his pecker and he still would have won. It was obviously the most "fixed" Olympia ever. The other competitors had every right to be angry over the results. People who say that Arnold should have won that show are all just big fans of Arnold. No one who is truly being objective would say that Arnold should have won in 1980.

What's the name of the dvd of the 1980 Mr. Olympia? I've only seen "The Comeback" it only talks about the competition and interviews, and not much of the actual event. So I'd like to see the whole thing. There's also a book called "Muscle Wars!" By Rick Wayne that was highly informative. Down too the point Arnold was booed at his acceptance speech. Armold was looking for Maria, claiming stupid bitch, ect. Lets get out of here.
