When Arnold Schwarzenegger was just a teenager he was training to win the Mr. Universe and was taken in by a man named Wag Bennet and his family to prepare him for his first Universe victory.

Man people really wanted to see Arnold succeed he had basically the biggest names of the sport backing him up he truly was meant to blow up no matter what the circumstances where
I don't think anyone knows more about bodybuilding than Nick!
Nick should do a documentary about bodybuilding
so you see that even a self made man like Arnold had or met the right people who saw his potential (and liked him). With hard work, being a nice person and some luck you can be a huge succes
Brilliant nick. Amazing info and one of your little gems of a video.
Excellent vid as always. On a side note there was a C4 promo for end of days in which they spoke to arnold and wag about his time in London and wag actually mentions arnold plan in the 60s of being the best bodybuilder then a movie star then getting into politics, years before he became governor. Very inspirational, if you can get past the annoying Johnny Vaughn interviewer it’s worth a watch.
Nick wont pin this comment
There’s a documentary on this
Reg Park was the first 500lb bencher in Britain.
Terrific video Nick! What an interesting story, who knew?
Better ask Albert Busek
Can you do a video on whether ryback could have been a bodybuilder 🙂
Nick, I subscribed !!! keep up your great work,
Dan “Underage butts drive me nuts” Schneider says “Slob on my knob or your out of a job” about this videos.

Is Wag Bennet still alive to see Arnold now?
Could you make a video discussing who the best poser was, between Lee labrada and Ed corney
Wags gym is a old converted church in east London , its got some old hand built equipment constructed by Arnold himself

in his autobiography "Total Recall", says Wag Bennet in three places, now I noticed, although I read it long ago and I forgot some details
Wow. Great story. Never knew that. That makes me belive in destiny. He was born to be successful.
Love Arnold 😘💋🔥💪🏋️👍✌️💖💞🙏 please let me muscle worship Arnold
I wonder if he is still in touch with Wag Bennet, or stayed in touch with him once he came to America, and if you can find out what areas Bennet had him improve upon for his success and win. Great video still though. Thanks Nick.
Awesome research Nick. Thanks allot
"C'mon Bennett, quit screwing around!! It's me that you want!!"
Great video man. Keep the Arnold history coming!
At this point I ‘like’ the video before it even starts because I know it’s gonna be awesome.
nice Nick. Arnie never mentioned about it in his books.
Could Arnold's adopted family have been a bodybuilder?
My gym!
