You can try pushing you hands together on the bar when you are benching

Have you heard about "Elite Muscle Formula?" (do a Google search for it) It is a quick and easy way to bulk up fast.

yeah but the chest, front delts and tri's all support internal rotation. wouldn't it make more sense to gradually flare the elbows out and let them press naturally as opposed to holding your elbows constantly at 45 degrees during the concentric phase? i totally agree with pulling them in as the bar goes down though, it would be nice to see your response! 🙂

Help!! I'm not sure if I'm pinching my shoulderblades together when I bench. I just don't understand how to keep them pinched when I bench! Idk how it looks pinched vs not pinged what I do is stick my chest out and have a small arch in my back but I'm not sure if I'm pinching it!! If someone could show me how it's supposed to look vs how it doesn't look when not pinched that be great

solid advice, but what happens when your shoulder hurts when bench pressing with CORRECT FORM and doesn't hurt when i have my elbows slightly flared out ?
i don't know how i hurt them, but my shoulders hurt when i use the correct powerlifting form, with bigger emphasis on the triceps, but hurt less or not at all sometimes when i flare out my elbows or adopt a silghtly bigger than shoulder width grip on my bench press

Holy shit, I always focused on elbows out. And I was benching 275. I wonder if I can get 300 easy with this tip. Gonna try this on my next lifting day THANKS BRUH

The thing is those benching for bodybuilding are looking to target the pecs. I don't think these people are interested in increasing tri involvement.

This is a good cue, but may not be for everyone. The reason is because some people when they pull the bar apart, they will use more triceps. However, pulling the bar apart does nothing to really pull your elbows more towards your torso, which is what we're after, and actually people may actually flare their elbows more out using your described tip, even though they will for sure feel it more in their triceps. I recommend bending the bar like your'e trying to break a pencil instead, which will help engage the lats. However do not externally rotate your elbows.

In addition, if the person actually fix their touch point of the bar on their chest, they're already in a safer position. Just touch the bar on your lower pecs, and adjust your grip accordingly so that your forearms are perpendicular to the floor at the bottom position

Thing is, I feel my shoulders alot more using proper form other than when flared a bit out.

My front shoulder on my left arm KILLS only when I grab and take the barbell off the rack when bench pressing. Whilst I'm bench pressing its fine but when I take it off the rack it hurts a lot. why?

Just want to add this in. DO not use the smith machine. it will mess your shoulder up. just like a bad bench press form.

i understand the elbow flaring thing but lets see u keep them tucked in when doing an actual heavy weight for you, i watched a few of your heavier bench videos and your elbows looks like they're flaring to me .i have the the same issue when it comes to actual rep weight. im just trying to see you implement your advice 😉 but its hard to tell from ur camera angles on other videos

I've been trying to build up strength for a while going for 5 reps per set on Bench Press. Now my right shoulder is giving me pain. Should I switch to a higher rep, lower weight sets, (as I do wanna get some of that Hypertrophy too)? Will making the switch lessen the pain in time?
