Max to Comp July 3, 2013 - 5:22 pm

I'm starting my first cut tomorrow. I've already lost about 70 lbs in the past year without tracking macros. I've been maintaining for past 3 months. On this cut my goal is to go down to about a 7% bf by my birthday in December. Then going to do a clean bulk for next 2 year. Hoping on doing my first bb competition on 2016

You use your body to punch and your brain to know how to punch.

Does that make sense to you?

1.) Get enough protein
2.) Take steroids.
Lose fat and build muscle!!!!

you'll get arthritis more likely if you don't work out.

Even most of dietitians/nutritionists are stuck with old information. Not saying you shouldn't trust them. Just learn to read and read stuff. Eventually, you'll realize how true Omar was trying to say.

I recently finished my first figure comp. and competed with the help of a complete moron (my fault for not doing enough research). My coach had cals/carbs pretty low from start & 2 hrs of cardio/day (lift 6 days, cardio 7/week). Needless to say, I've rebounded pretty hard. I know reverse dieting is what's needed, but is there anything else I can do to restore my metabolism and build it back up? How can I drop my cardio down gradually without seeing MORE negative effects to my body? Suggestions

if your above 15% body fat would be wise to do say a 4-6 hard cut to get to around 15% then go back to a slow recomp?

I really like the tone of this video. No goofy bro alter ego in the video. Though I do like him sometimes.

just don't do cardio at all until you start to stall on weight loss, then add small amounts of cardio while reducing calories a small amount at a time, that way you don't run out of shit to do to get the weight loss going again. Like he said if you start with minimal calories and tons of cardio you don't have anywhere to go when you stall out.

you could always do a limited refeed time too or a week or so of maintenance to try to get your body out of storage mode.

just not that the water weight will come back in a few days so don't freak out.

You doing a refeed to hit maintenance once a week? What about a cheat day that's relatively in control? Or do you go multiple weeks in a row with perfect discipline?
