Where are your biceps?

just a thought but isn't going to full extension in the supinated position (ex. barbell curls, preacher curls) dangerous for your biceps/joint? Seems like a great way to tear something when using any sort of significant weight.

You don't have to have a workout dedicated to arms to have nice arms. Last time i did a curl or any isolation workout for my arms was like 6 years ago and my arms are bigger. You can do back workouts and chest workouts. They indirectly target arms while you directly target other muscle groups.

I'm not trying to start a debate.. but I remember long ago when I was getting into working out that when doing curls you shouldn't let your arm go straight because you just let your arm hang there. When I do curls I like to go down and still have a slight slight bend in my arm. Not to make it easier, but to make it harder since I'm holding my bicep flexed even if it's the other arms turn to curl. Does that make sense?

Hey Mr Omar and anyone who is viewing this 🙂

Since this is a video about biceps, I also have few questions:
– Is the bicep muscle generally takes longer time to increase in strength compared to our other muscles?
– What should be avoided if you want to have maximal strength gain in biceps, minimal in size?

Thanks.

now take it a step farther and complete the full range of motion of the bicep. Might help a bit more.

Heard the same things from Ben Pakulski.

Flexing the tricep puts you into a mechanical advantage as the tricep is fully shortened and removed from the entire movement while the bicep is fully lengthened which results in a full rotation during the excercise.

Doing that is infinitely important to "initiate" with the bicep which is of greater importance to keep maximum tension in the muscle.

My favorite exercise for biceps is weighted chinups and I use them to transition from the back to the biceps section of my back/biceps/forearms day. I've found preacher curls to be the most effective at isolating the bicep and getting the best pump, then preacher hammers, then follow that up with preacher reverse curls to transition into the forearm section and 15-20 grueling sets just for forearms from every angle.

would you recommend doing those both at once?

i want to ask you something… and anyone who is reading this, fell free to answer me please, cause i'm really concerned.
My left arm is stronger than the right… everytime i go to failure i can do more reps with the left (with the same dumbell)… what do you think i should do to prevent have uneven arms? always do the same rep range with both arms? cause i fell like i'm wasting my time lifting an easy weight in one side, and hard on the other.

I always thought that flexing your tricep at the end of each rep would put a lot of strain on your elbows.  I could be wrong though, I've just had a lot of joint problems while working out

hey Omar, on my right side, somehow years ago (doing MMA) i hurt the outside of my small bones in my upp hand/lower wrist, so i can't actually properly completely rotate my ppalm facing to 12 o clock on that side without pain. (When trying to do a bicep curl on the right side with my hand turned over like normal it causes pressure on the outside of my upper hand/wrist) and feels like it's gonna crack and i have to keep shaking it out, ven after warming it up for minutes on end. any suggestions? do i have to do flat curls like you're doing?
