pls do one on pec tears?
Was hoping his bicep tore while showing us
im 15 omar.I shouldn't focuse too much on powerlifting right?I only do a heavy on bench press(not too heavy im not stupid)and squats and deadlifts.those are the only heavy ones I do.I should more focuse on other stuff right?plz resbond thx
Tore my left bicep today. I am traumatized. Going to get it checked tomorrow. Need surgery?
Good thing I have short arms
Unless you are doing competition, just use some straps. Twisting arms is not smart. It is awkward for a reason. If it's so damn heavy you can not grip it long enough, and you know your grips is strong, meaning it's damn heavy over 6×45, use straps.
This is an excellent video on this subject and I am a former Personal Trainer, Natural Powerlifter and have been working out 42 years. Regarding the videos, people should have them looked at by an objective neutral qualified perdon, such as a Srrength Coach or Physical Therapist. Another tip is to not train biceps prior to doing Deadlifts bed at see the pump can leave your biceps in a slightly flexed position and more vulnerable to a tear.
hold that bar from your traps and nothing else!!
Arms are hooks? Hooks are a perfect example of bent lol
Use a double overhand grip its the only safe way
This is why I changed to a hook grip. I’m so paranoid about bicep tears. Heck, I’d rather use straps than mix grip these days.
Given the fact that my left arm is hyper mobile by at least 10 degrees, which is the arm is supinate in the mixed grip when i dead lift; doesn't that even lessen the possibility of my left bicep tearing? I always keep my arms straight as an arrow
Is it possible to do the same thing if you use double overhand grip?
Omar, Can you do a video on how to prevent a lat pull while deadlifting. It is actually very common. I have done it twice and am recovering from it now. I use double overhand grip and at the height of the lift, my lat (right under my armpit) felt like it pulled. Being cautionary, I stopped my workout. Just wondering if you have tips to avoid this. My lats may not be tight enough or I may be flaring them out instead of retracting my scapula. Thanks,
Steve
I don’t lift like a idiot take my time and lift correct and I don’t know shit but it’s not rocket science
Good vid bro saved me from going to hospital
Very informative, thank you
Hurt my bicep today doing heavy deadlifts. Don’t think it’s a tear or anything serious but definitely a wake up call. Going to hook grip from now on. Fuck it
If you supinate it… you will mutilate it.
Does this mean if I don’t use the reverse grip, I can avoid a bicep tear?
Ummm, don't do dead lifts that's how u prevent it . DA!!!!!!
Great advice, thank you
ty
What went wrong here? I cant tell what I did wrong from the angle. I have lifted this was for 11 years, before this injury.

I filmed myself and I cant tell if I bent my arms. I was pulling 700lbs and I tore my bicep Feb 3 2018. I had surgery Feb 13 2018. Now I am finishing my physical therapy and want to slowly train deadlift again, but I wanted to use hook grip. I like double overhand, but I dont want to even risk it anymore (yes I did watch the entire video, I am just not comfortable using mixed grip yet).. here is my 700 attempt video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bITXaYjh5do.
I pulled 683lbs easy the week before.
Does the mixed grip cause imbalances?
"but some yolos"
lol i died
This came down a bicep tear compilation video xD
Great video thanks
Calum Von Moger would be watching this
The god damn yolos
you gotta confuse the bicep, right babe?
Or you can just develop a monster grip strength by always doing double overhand on all pulls, weighted pull ups and just stop neglecting sets where you focus on grip
in the bottom 1/6 of my deadlift my arm is slightly bent very slightly, but as i get a six the way up it straightens
Hemorrhoid tears
I dont get why people just dont do overhand
Use over hand grip with straps, end of story (snapped both of mine $20 K of surgery)
Hey man i saw Eddie Hall getting tore bicep And i am So scared to workout Now :c
Thanks you saved a lot of biceps
Thanks bro! This is very helpful
Hooks are curved…
Gaymar lol
just hook grip
