I think this has been an issue for me lately. A too tight belt in the deadlift and not getting the lockout 100% at the top, overarching the lowerback, thanks for telling! Awesome video 🙂

it seems like our backs are screwed no matter what we do a lot of older bodybuilders have back problems regardless of weather they use a belt or not

its simple, enter the tunnel in a good position. Squeeze your glutes, 3d diaphramatic breathe, exhale HARD hold that ribcage position and take another 3d breath.

My grandfather worked out all his life he looks so washed up with joint pain. Ask Arnold Schwartzgenager how he is after being a gym rat all his life and he will tell you the same thing.

Ive had lower back pain using belt last 2 deadlifting sessions and i have been watching form videos all week thinking it was that. I would say it is some of that but i definitely have been using the belt wrong!

Use a thinner belt like 3 inches or even 2.5 inches for deadlifts unless you are tall (think over 6 foot 5). Use a 4 inch belt for squats, etc.

As a former Powerlifter myself, I used a belt when I was doing heavy single lifts, especially over 90% of one repetition maximum lifts for safety reasons.

However, when I was doing regular training, I never used a belt during Squat or Deadlift exercises.

This was exactly my problem

Belt/knee wraps should only be used for 1 rep max on deadlift/squat so you don't herniate your back lifting super heavy. Anything above 3 reps doesn't need a belt or knee wraps

Good video. My rule is to be able to get 2 fingers between belt, then you have room to brace against the belt. Personally I never wear unless lifting greater than 90% of 1RM

Great fit with balanced weight. Used during a hike in the NC mountains bestgym.equipment and I definitely got the enhanced cardio I was looking for. Appears to be built with quality-stitching intact after several uses. A 50lb version would be a nice upgrade.
