J.P. Fux was one of the largest bodybuilders of the mid-90’s era. In 1997, many people confused photos of his back for photos of Dorian Yates’ back.

His back is Dorianesque!
I'd like to offer J.P.FUX a WWE contract!
Could the techno viking have been a pro body builder: https://youtu.be/UjCdB5p2v0Y
I remember seeing that picture when it came out in the magazine, yikes…..
All I can say is why the fuck is he squatting that many plates without a spot?
He came back after the injury dude, wasn't the same tho.
I never forgot about Fux. He was huge.
Huge. Back was pretty insane but too many proportion issues.
2:45 doors are closing 🙂
I almost forgot that I had forgotten about these guys!
les meilleure 90 DEBUT 2000 LE DERNIER GRAND CULTURISTES Markus Ruhl en 2009 aujourd hui le 10 premier a l olimpia de la merde
cheers from switzerland
His back was huge- possibly as big as Dorian? Just a bit too much gut, though.
jp fux also owns a cat rescue
Nick seen him on rxmuscle and is like i need to make a video on him now come on nick you know you watched it he didnt get the injury till the second shot the photographer wanted different lighting and the second lift is when it happened the photographers fault 100% hes been criticized for hurting afew people when shooting
His back was very impressive, as noted, but he had a bad bubble gut even back then.
Of course, I'm not sure when the term "Bubble Gut" was first used.
Another great video. But a couple of things: (1) His name was pronounced "Foox", not Feux (2) At 4:25……That's Dave Palumbo. That pic is usually mistaken as Dorian and Fux (3) He competed between 260 and 280, more often the later. I used to read and or collect a lot of Flex , Muscle and Fitness, Ironman and Muscular Development magazines, so I remember a lot of the specifics.
One of the first bubble guts
He was definitely a monster. Amazing back that year. That squat injury was horrible.
90s era gut distention all day every day
I can't wait till NSP hits a million subs !!
I competed once at a show, where J.P. Fux was the guestposer. We asked him about his weight. He said: today it`s 145 kg (about 320 pds) but I don`t know what´s it gonna be tomorrow. Most of us amateurs thought, that this guy is just too big and not a rolemodel.
Show my Jay Cutler in 2010 Best shape ever 🙂
He didn’t have good abs genetics by everything else looked inhumane
That's a picture of greg kovacs @ 4:31
Nick do you think you will you ever do a vlog on Chris Cormier (assuming you haven't already)? I live in Melbourne and saw and met him at the Grand Prix here. I feel he was one body builder of the 90's that had heaps of potential. Thanks for sharing.
video on nasser!
Comments including “impressive for that time period” imply that the late 90s of bodybuilding pales in comparison to today’s bodybuilding scene, and that is a complete JOKE
J.P Fux is one of my favourites. He was in Flex magazine many times.
His gut would rival the top Olympia contenders of today
I was always impressed with his size but he had a fairly round midsection that i never cared for
JP is one of the biggest mass monsters the only ones really to size up to this guy was , in no particular order Dorian Yates of course quite similar , Ronnie who is just silly big amazing , Markus Ruhl, Paul Dillet all the other builders then were more aesthetically gifted a little smaller but still massive Flex being one of the best if not to lines or sculpture Kevin Levrone my all time favourite what a gifted man , Shawn Ray unreal conditioning etc I just think Jean has it though width of the mass monsters I wonder how much these took but Jp had a great hairline I wonder sometimes it must be more growth hormone and insulin with these guy who save their hair nasser el sonbaty hair no good few others u can see how much they must have had or genetics are more fortunate I’ve had the pleasure to chat to jean he will teach you and give advice on Skype and his advice is very good for the rate it you ever wanted to be a mass monster yourself he is the man that is worth the information 👍
