Omar, recently my left shoulder joint has been giving me some pain when benching and any overhead movements.  The pain isn't horrible but it sharpens when I warm up and max out.  I can push through the pain but I dont want to worsen the situation.  I still have range of motion on the left shoulder and pain free when not lifting.  Any advice on this?  I was advised to rest it for two weeks and see if the pain goes away.

Omar your videos are some of the best if not the best content ,and production in the youtube fitness community. I didn't use to like them at first it reminded me of RWJ like it was a race to finish the video. I don't if you slowed them down or I got use to your tempo. I just want you to know your doing a good job. Providing links all the finishing touches from start to finish.

This guy needs to get out of the 'carbohydrate assumption trap'.  Based on the comments he made regarding athletic performance and restricted carbohydrate intake, this guy clearly knows absolutely nothing about the phenomenon of keto-adaptation which is rather disappointing given that Omar is always essing his D and using him as an 'expert opinion'

Good info I guess but this has nothing to do with the 3 body types that people may have. Endo, ecto, and meso-morph. Ectomorph need tons of carbs to increase body mass because of such high metabolism, well endomorph need to be careful about carb intake because gaining mass comes really easy.

I like that he addressed types of carbs in terms of calories/fat and also in terms of overall health. Certain carbs simply deteriorate health. Some are more susceptible to that attack than others and will show signs of ill health sooner. Even grains will do this – though some can get away with it (but would reach even higher levels of health without it even if they have no issues currently) 😮

does that mean as long as i workout regularly and keep my cardio's intensity up, there's no reason for me to be too concerned with the types of carbs i take??? i mean simple carbs frm white rice, white bread, buns, chinese noodles…etc??

A carb is a carb…until you learn about insulin, vitamins, minerals, the pancreas, and the liver.

In my opinion, bottom line: you've got to experiment and see what works for you.  One thing I can say for myself is, for me, grains were definitely the culprit.  I've been about 8 days straight severly limiting grains/gluten based products.  The result so far: I already have more energy; no more bloating; higher intensity workouts; no foggy brain; body is already showing signs of being more apt to burning fat and absorbing protein.

It could simply be because, without grains as an option, I tend to eat more meats, veggies, fruits & some nuts (in that order in terms of importance).  Also, I drink bulletproof coffee religiously which can help to re-teach the body to use fat as fuel.  Idk.  I'm not a doctor but personally, my body is happier.

So yeah…experiment!!!! we're all different.  everything can be refuted so do what you do and stop looking to other people to tell you what YOUR BODY does (within reason of course 😉 )

Does sedentary apply to someone who gyms 4-5 or 5-6 days per week for roughly 2 hours and does nothing much the rest of the day except maybe walking around here and there or does that apply to the general population?
