Rehbands don't add weight.. My are slippery as well, so I am going to try Titan's

"Knee wraps" can add to your squat 40-50lbs (I've heard), but I don't think knee sleeves work the same.  Watching some guys put on their knee wraps (so tight they can't stand up on their own after) you can see that knee sleeves don't provide that kind of compression.  Also your's was falling off….so…

So many "expects" in comments giving their two cent on knee sleeves while most of them probably don't own any lol

My rep and max weight doesn't chAnge at all when I put my rehbands on. Just more comfortable

I think squating with sleeves is not very wise idea. I prefer raw. Without sleeves and without belt. Belt only on max attempts. Body must overcome  load realtively easily on itself. Then it is really safe to ad more weight. DON'T rush Omar! Don't set times for maxes. Calm down this shit.

I've got some good SBD sleeves which add about 10lbs.

Your eccentric is still very slow and you aren't getting much of a reflex at all IMO I think continually improving that moving forward you'll see some nice increases from already solid numbers.

Re: Knee sleeves adding weight.  I have both Rehbands and SBDs I'd say the Rehbands add less than a pound (if anything) and the SBDs which are very tight probably do add around 5 or so pounds for me but that's all.

I have the Tommy Kono knee sleeves and I can tell you that knee sleeves don't add jack to your lift! What they do is that they keep my knees warm so they don't feel like crap when I'm done! Especially since I'm closing in on the half century mark in age. My joints aren't what they used to be!

I have really loose SBD sleeves…I agree I don't think they add any weight mechanically but my knees feel so cozy and warm I think it adds weight mentally

I would assume knee sleeves would give you a few pound but not alot thats for sure. If the knee sleeve is tight enough to have a compression effect it would make you a bit stronger. Not like knee wraps tho, you can get a shit ton of weight outta those things. Anything that compresses a muscle will make that muscle stronger, that is the basics on power-lifting gear (bench-shirt/squat-suit). Yes i do know both will give you tremendous rebound outta the hole from the elastic effect as well…. Fuck i can get 5-10 pounds from wrist wraps when i bench with them…. Omar do you where compression pant as well? Just wondering not being a dick…. yeah so all and all loose knee sleeve would do next to nothing, tight ones yes. They would add poundage for sure. Just my opinion…. great videos, cheers!

Omar, wouldn't that stance be a little wide?  I Thought you should squat shoulder width?  Sorry not trying to be a troll or annoying or anything just want to actually know. Thanks!

You said that you've been setting new PRs every week but I kind stop pushing my PRs as much after watching your other video about testing vs building strength. I'm kinda confused as to how to structure my program now, any advice? Anybody?

Unless u get knee sleeves that are 2 sizes smaller i don't think adds more weight.  Personally my knee feel much more comfortable with my knee sleeves more than anything.

knee sleeves dont add weight, they add confidence by giving you the minor amount of join support if they add weight to your squat i think its adds like 5lbs

You are right on the knee sleeves…mine did not add any weight to my squat when I started using them…I stoppped using them and did not lose any weight either.  Keep up the good work Omar!

When worn how they're supposed to be worn, meaning the "correct" tightness they give help at the bottom of the movement. This is not to the extent that wraps give you, but when tight enough they definitely aid in the bottom of the movement.

Omar if you're squatting low bar style, you should use flat shoes (or barefoot) it helps prevent that good morning effect.

it keeps ur knees warm and maybe reduce some tension at the bottom so maybe a little =X @kneesleeves

I just feel safer with a sleeve on my knees … I don't use wraps … even for heavy squats … but I do like a sleeve … just to give myself a little knee security …

I see all these videos of people squatting 4 plates+, I want to know how long does it take to get there? I can only squat 2 plates properly 🙁
