I started teaching a friend how to lift weights yesterday and one major problem I came across was trying to teach him how to Barbell Row. Â He has a bit of a swimmer's slouch (he does swim a bit), which prevents him from getting in that correct form. Â What would be the best way to correct swimmer's slouch?

Hey Omar, or specifically Bryan, how do you feel about someone using partial olympic movements without coaching? Like doing hang cleans for their benefits, but not trying to do the snatch/C&J without a coach? Think that's easy enough to do without pro supervision? If I had a good coach I'd move into olympic lifting but seeing as I don't I still like to use the partial movements since I imagine they're easier to learn and do safely.

Omar, on the overhead squat, are your knees more likely to go forward? I just noticed yours were much more forward than a regular back squat.

@OmarIsuf it looks like you have been stating away from bar to body contact. Is that something you are intentionally being coached to do in these early stages of your development ? Or is that unintentional ?

Technique is truly so important, a tweak in my deadlift that improves my form could increase my deadlift by 50 lbs.

Omar seriously, stop learning triple extension and start learning catapult technique. You can access more power, quicker and with more muscle groups. Want proof? I weigh 77kg and snatch 97kg. Watch Jon North videos and you will see

your technique is looking better just one tip try being more agressive in the second pull and for fuck's sake don't pull slow off the ground that is fucking stupid and you lose all the power.
