@OmarIsuf i want to incorporate olympic lifting in my training so please do a tutorial on the snatch and the clean&jerk ('cause u gotta jerk it)
My neck hurts everytime i back squat and i have a tight upper back. But doing front squats im perfectly fine. Can i consider it a alternative?
Good video. Thank you very much. A question: why the green Power Ranger reference at the end? Was he the original actor or something?
i feel like the front squat is not just more quad dominant but also involves the core much more than a low bar squat because you're fighting to stay upright as much as possible. anyone else agree?
Is it ok to do just front squads? I don't like the traditional one because of the stress it puts on your back.
hey guys…should i do front squats after back squats or at the end of my workout? please help 🙂
” Olympic Weightlifting isn't Yoga, it isn't meant to be comfortable or relaxing. " – Cool, because Yoga isn't about that either.
where the fuck is his shin parallel to his torso? i just dont get it. all those tips on the internet, coaches contradicting each other/ themselves ALL OVER THE FKING PLACE. pls youtube, help me find an expert and valid explaination.
thanks for the info omar and bryan

"If you can't clean it you can't jerk it"
I'd prefer jerking first then cleaning but..whatever floats your boats 🙂
You say that front squat isn't a hip hinge movement, but go and see a weightlifter doing front squats, Tian Tao, Lu Xiaojun, Liao Hui, Klokov, Max Lang, Ehab, or everyone else at 0.50 or 0.25 speed on youtube, and they start with a slighty hip hinge to engage te posterior chain after break at the knees, obviosly is a smaller hinge copared to a back high squat, but the hip hinge before the knee movement still there always.
"You gotta jerk it"
I don't mind the front squat, the only problem I have with the technique is I feel it puts a lot of strain on your wrists because of the way you hold the bar. Other then that it's great.
These are hard as fuck. Help me

Omar hitting on the girl at 3:38
what should i do if i start leaning my torso forward when descending?
i wanna ask. what if when i lift front the deep squat position, i tend to narrowing my distance between both knees? tend to that to make sure i can lift haha the wider the distance outwards between both knees means the easier to lift?
Actually, original yoga philosophy while performing the asanas is not to get comfortable.
wow why is that shithead your coach? Get a real coach that guy knows nothing about weightlifting..

People are having problems with their wrist mobility, while I have tight ankles…
FRONT SQUAT IS AWSOME MAN. THE FIRST TIME I DID IT , I JUST GOT IN LOVE WITH IT. 😘
This is a superb video!
Thanks for all the information and help!
slightly wider than shoulder width for hands, place on top of clavicle. make sure your triceps are parallel to the floor. make sure your feet are hip width or just outside, with feet pointed out
Take a shot everytime he says "clavicle"
Claaavicle
Boi yoga is hard as fuck
what about fainting?
How many sets/reps front squat?
Can I get a claaa-vicle counter?
419lb front squat at 176lbs…..absolutely insane
Thank you so much Omarslf! Thank you for getting STRAIGHT to the point and not deviating! Perfect!
Does anyone here have long arms that give them a hard time of getting the bar in the clean position? Comment down below!
Too much talk
"ya gotta be able to jerk it" omarIsuf 2015… words to live by
Triceps dont need to be parallel to ground. Most Olympic weightlifters I seen just use a full grip to secure bar an create a "shelf" deep enough with their shoulders. And their triceps are damn near perpendicular to the ground. I have big arms and limited flexibility and use exact same grip. What matters most is balance and to have barbell well secured and far enough back so that it doesnt roll off.
With that being said, in front squat upright posture is very critical. Good correction cues I found is to record a side view of yourself to perfect descending and ascending form.
I know, old af video. but I started with this way back than without realizing a lot of things.
So here is an edited version after frontsquatting for over 3 years being a very long legged, very short torsoed cripple:
Step 1: Have a Russian surgeon remove enough of your thighbone so that your shins are longer than your thighs and your upper body is longer than your lower body.
Step 2: Now that you have found yourself in a position where you realize that you don't want to do step 1, choose whatever stance is comfortable to get into the bottom position. Or try oly-lifting shoes.
Step 3: brace, clench & front squat. And if Kelly Starret walks into your gym you just look him right in the eyes, pull down your pants and shout "Hey Kelly, wanna come suck my nuts while I frontsquat? I go real wide and open in the bottom position for you!". And if he comes up to you with some supple leopard shit than you just show him some evidence where his techniques and "advice" have lead people into injuring themselves more often than actually making them better squatters because it's more of a selection scheme than a betterment program. After that you'll ask him again "Do you want to suck my balls now or what?"
I'm going to regret making this comment one day. But hey, everyone needs to rant sometime.
He looks like Jared Dines
I actually like front squats better than back squat.
There I said it.
It's out in the open now.
Like a slap in the face.
0:52 Yoga is not comfortable either. There are some which are not comfortable. Sirsasana, the headstand, for example
I might be too late but, I do jerk and clean instead
What if you squat without weightlifting shoes?
Who tf tucks their ears into a cap
Since when is Yoga comfortable? I reckon a lot of Yoga is as just if not more uncomfortable than front squatting or any weighted exercise.
