Tiff, I am a licensed massage therapist and a chiropractic school student. I am so happy to hear you say you're going to the chiropractor. chiropractic is such a fundamental part of wellness. There's the misconception that chiropractic is just for neck and back pain, but it's really all about making sure that your nervous system is functioning at optimal levels. And, as both an LMT and DC student, I can absolutely say chiropractic adjustments are waaaay better than masssage. They both have their role in wellness, but I've worked on patients for months who would not improve until they got adjusted. If your nervous system keeps sending out signals for your shoulders and neck muscles to be tight, it doesn't matter how many massages you get. Massage is an amazing supplement to the adjustment, but chiropractic adjustments are fundamental!!
