You will maintain strength my going on my Snake Diet and you don't even have to cut calories because of your metabolism being amped up by the fasting…Went from 188 to a shredded 163 in 3 months..Lost 20 lbs on max bench and that's it.
I do three days of weights and three days of HIIT or cardio and one rest day, should I eat the same amount of calories on the cardio days as the weight days or what?
Omar great video I never really focus on nutrition intake based on the current or next day workout/rest day interesting thought process. I usually just eat moderately and rely on the fact that I know I'm gonna put in 4 days minimum of lifting + cardio. I'll have to be more mindful of this now. Thanks!
Thanks for this helpful video. What would you recommend as an ideal caloric deficit for a cut, 10%, 20% of TDEE?
Also, would you recommend short lean bulks followed by minicuts (say, of 4 week duration) or more traditional 6 month to 1 year bulk/cut cycles? Any data/experience on which approach preserves more muscle?
What do you think about strenght training while cutting for maintaining muscle and strenght and hypertrophy (or strenght with hypertrophy) for gains while bulking?
Watched this on FB, just wanted to click it here and say thanks for Posting. I've dropped 40 Lbs. in 6 months, now I'm actually Losing more than I wanted & looking Kinda Flat. My Caloric Deficit is WAY too high. I track it with "Lose it!" and with all the cardio I do it's about a 12 to 1300 Calorie a day Deficit. I'll cut the cardio a little to get it down to 2 or 300 a day. Thanks for the advice
I have a concern regarding the calorie cycling. Wouldnt it make more sense to fuel yourself with higher calories the day prior to a major workout? Especially if u train earlier in the day? Thats one of the problems i see with calorie cycling
Omar, it seems to me you are confusing some things, again. You keep talking how paranoid your are about losing some strength, yet you have no set date at the end of that cut where you have to perform at your best.
If you cut for a PL comp, you better be your best at the end.
But IF NOT ( like you and most watching) who cares if strength goes down A BIT if the cut is over faster? If you're done in 10 weeks instead of 16, you can focus the rest of the 6 to eat, grow, and you will regain what you lost and more.
Plus, there are some people who just want to be over with it faster. Hence why plenty of people choose (and have success) with RFL. ESPECIALLY if you are not going for a contest lean condition, which again, you are not.
hi I'm new to lifting, can someone tell me what he means by total training volume? or total volume or is it the same thing, I've heard this term a few times now and still lack understanding also would be able to give me a example please? or maybe could you make a video on what volume is Omar thanks guys!
I've been training for 1 year and a half and i have never counted my calories ever. I just make sure i eat around 200-220 grams of protein a day, eat different type of carb in those meals and train hard 4-5 times a week. I gained 20-25 pounds of muscle since i started and my body fat is at a respectable 17%. In my opinion you just need to get a realistic routine that you can follow with your lifestyle and i'm very happy of my results by now. Keep making these videos omar i have learned a lot because of you thank you.
I work a labor job 3 days on 2 days off etc and workout everyday I'm off early in the morning fasted. Would you suggest a lot of food before the morning I go to the gym then? I train fasted bright and early
There’s really only a few people that I trust to give me good truthful advice. When I look for advice online, I head for Omar, Elliot Hulse, or Jeff Cavaliere. You can tell that their focus is on truly helping people.
well lets get real when you are as weak as omar and taking steroids its easy to maintain strength. A bit harder for rest of us natty guys who can lift more than a 8 year old girl.

Can anyone recommend a good, solid workout plan for hypertrophy please, getting bored of my current one. thanks

Fantastic practical tips. Your videos are packed with knowledge in a concise and meaningful way man.
Love the vids, Omar. Learning a lot as a relatively new lifter
what if your defecit is only 100 cal
Cant lose energy if i snort caffeine pills 🤔
Need help guys, what exactly is volume? I'm a newbie guys, help me clear some terms please 🙄
what if you train first thing in the morning? should I instead consume more calories the previous day?
Can you actually get STRONGER while cutting if you switch to a powerlifting program ??
Who else doesn't count calories?
Sorry Omar, but those first 6 overhead presses were not paused at all

So you shouldn’t eat less then
But when your cutting how do you maintain strength cause when you start losing fat won’t you lose strength so are energy levels have to be high then
So when cutting start at small deficit slowly so if your calories are 3.400 just go down 400 calories down.
And that's how you get fat because people eat a lot in there off days.
Can you intermitting fasting and still build muscle
How should volume + frequency change on a cut for a 2x a week split?

I heard the opposite that having more volume but less intensity helps more.
Buy wireless earphones already dammit
Man thank you for this
What about recovery? Don't you need that? On your off days?
