When I try to keep my shoulders “down and back” my scapula flares out bad and I get pain in my shoulders when I press weight. I know I need to work on my winged scapula, but should I do presses more like a push-up plus? Please help!!
It didn’t work. I got the right stance. I got my shoulders away from ears and squeezed my back together. And I would try to find the chest muscle to help bring my arm up but sadly I didn’t. Can someone tell if I’m doing something wrong
1) good video explaining pecks. I honestly did learn a lot about it. Pecks have been my biggest enemy. I never feel like I’m working them. 2) also, my gym has limited equip. Not even a bench press. 3) a little disturbed by the communist flag. History is my strong suit and Communism has killed millions over the course of a century. Quite literally. You would have to look no further than the Gulags in the USSR. Or Tiananmen Square Massacre. Sure they have the biggest armies…because they’re forced to join. The only way Communism lives is by spreading which is why The US has tried very hard to stop it. Freedoms do not exist in Communist nations. Ask anyone from China, North Korea, Soviet Russia, Cuba, or Venezuela. But I do also see your California State flag. But if you’re just a collector of flags, I support that….I digress. Lol
Is it right to assume you should try to get your hands together while bench pressing without actually moving your hands on the bar to activate the pecs?
My arms usually tire out first i barely feel activation in my chest, i struggle a lot because the bloodflow to the arms is so bad when benching, i dont feel my arms afterwards though. I feel my chest a tiny bit. When i use a chest press machine i can do 3×8 reps with 65kg but on a bench i can't do more than 40 kg. But even on the machine i feel like my arms are the limiting factor.

Great advice, definitely will try this. I've always been strong with flys and pec deck with a relatively poor bench in comparison. Hopefully this movement or feeling will help

I saved this video years ago as a reminder for how to get the pecs working whenever they’re not quite firing properly.
Fast forward to May 2021 and the gym is finally reopened and I’m starting exercising again instead of drinking.
See I don’t have a beach so I always do my chest workouts on the floor but I mostly feel it in my back, traps, delts is that just tightness or what?
