Started out with 3 pound weights, only use Maddie’s videos to workout, and now I use 20-30 pound weights 🙂
After my workout with you yesterday I was feeling so motivated to do another today even though I usually don’t. I just didn’t have one that was fitting what I was in the mood for and then I wake up this morning and see that you’ve posted exactly what I was wanting! 15 min, weighted, and none of the extra strain that I usually feel when doing regular ab workouts. Thank you! Awesome core workout and much easier on my lower back. Lying down for core workouts are hard for me as I have lower back issues that hurt when I lay on my back for too long. What is a good cool down for this 15 min core if I'm doing this during my lunch hour?

I really need to work the core, I'm in my 60's and just getting back into working out for the past few months, but really need to focus on my abs, obliques and so forth so as you work out, thanks for letting us know what each of these do and for what areas.

Hey @madfit, I love your work-outs and do them regularly. However, I dis-located my shoulder doing the 3rd move – Oblique Crunch. You didn't explain that you have to twist the dumbbell slightly frontwards With your body movement when you lean over. My shoulder rolled back and was locked for 5 full minutes. Thank God I had my arm up on the couch pillow as I sat down and had to try different slight and slow moves to painfully get my ball joint positioned right back into the socket. Please explain this key move properly. It's not a safe move-even as I re-watch it now. Thank you!

Love this standing abs workout! You used a keyword – “functional” – in the outro that describes this workout really well. These movements feel like more intense versions of ones I use everyday (I have five month old nephew who is a CHONK and loves to be held haha). This workout was fun and challenging. Definitely adding it to my regular rotation. Thanks Maddie!
