Hi Amy, my youngest child is 3yrs old n I've only just discovered a two finger gap :/ I really love your workouts especially the kettlebell workouts,my question is are they still safe to do if I swap out planks & crunches ?

I don't know if it's just me not doing it right but in the 3 places I'm not quite 2 fingers, it feels like 1 1/2 maybe. I've got my 6 week check coming up I'll ask my Dr.

Hi, I had diastasis with both pregnancies. Now I'm nearly 5 years postpartum and I've developed an umbilical hernia, which I understand is common among postpartum women. The only advice I'm finding is "don't work out your abs until it goes away." But I've waited two years with no ab work whatsoever and it's just hanging out. No changes and I'm weak, gaining wait, and definitely look a lot bigger around the middle. Any advice or direction would be helpful!

I've been following your video's for a while now and just wanted to ask how long it took you to close you ab separation while also doing regular workouts?

I had an over 10 lbs baby. The external skin got damaged, stretch marks and significant loose skin but I do not have muscle separation, which is interesting.
My child is also 17, so not sure if it healed over time or Maybe I never had it. I don’t remember ever having separation.

I didn’t hear about diastases recti until about five years ago! I had five babies in 6 1/2 years, including twins, who were last. Those twins turn 25 in a couple of months. I’ve tried to exercise, eat well and stay in shape all these years but I definitely have 2 finger separation and three finger separation closer to my belly button. When I learned about this it sure made sense why I couldn’t make my stomach flat again, and that crunches were making it worse. I’ve read that a combination of a massage therapist (one who knows about abs separation) and a physical therapist can fix it. Is it too late to fix it 25 years after the last babies?

I really don't understand this. My fingers' width depends on how many fingers I will use, what does it have to do with the belly, above and below the navel ? If I use 3 fingers there will the width of 3 fingers, 4 the width of four, 5 the width of five, regardless of where I put my fingers.
