I bench about as much as Omar and is it just me or does he not warm up enough? I do BarX20, 135×8, 185×5, 205×4, 225×3, 245x 2, 275×1 then start my sets. I just noticed Omar's doing 285 for 5×5, lmao that's literally what I'm doing tomorrow.

Hey Omar! Nice work. Would you agree you're not using your full potential with a 5×5 workout? The first 4 sets fatigue your muscles if you press heavy. To complete all 5 sets you simply cannot put the max weight on the barbell, since you have to spread your strength and stamina over 5 sets. On the other hand if you do a "pyramid" in 5×5, and approach your 5th set with relatively 'fresh' and nicely warmed up muscles, you can handle a larger weight in set 5?
