Trying out a new format: a quick effective tip in less than 4 minutes. In this video we got the main man, Jordan Shallow aka The Muscle Doc dropping some science on why most people probably aren't growing their lateral delt (side delt) from traditional lateral raises. Flex your lats and internally rotate your arms. Let us know if this helps! If you want us to make this into a tip series, like this video and leave a comment below what you want to see next!
260 lbs? lol? he's 5'11 and supposedly same weight as Dorian yates and around the same height? I doubt that very much.
is he the son of couch??
Jordan is natural ??
I have been watching a lot of Alpadestiny videos, i also kind of like yours, but you know why i wont sub to you channel? not like you care anyway, but its videos like this, when you have a guest who are obviously on Steroids trying to give advice. Thanks but no thanks.
Doing lateral raises while internally rotating your shoulder causes permanent shoulder damage.. I can tell you arent a physical therapist. Just lean forward a bit as you do the lateral raises so that you mid delt is still the focus point..
looks like a great way to end up with shoulder impingement, I thought longevity in lifting is what we should be chasing, not short term medial delt pump!
A great way to destroy your rotator cuff muscles.
Jordan really knows his anatomy. Well done!
Instead of having internal rotation for the shoulders which is a terrible position for the shoulders, we can lean forward and make the exercise harder.
Aaaand next stop…! Shoulder Impingement Cityyyy! %-|
Omar: Jordan, How are you doin?
Jordan: I'm doing well, yourself?
Omar: * moving on * People always ask me….
will try it out, thanks!
Isolation exercises for posterior delts 3x per week, lateral delts 0, anterior delts 0.
Anterior hit enough by all variations of Bench and with OHP.
Lateral hit enough with upright rows with an EZ Bar, face pulls and OHP.
Mid delt working range is from 30 degrees to 120..
You should finish the movement at 120 degrees.
And this rotation of the shoulders can cause problems in your shoulder for the long run.
Keep your shoulders safe 🙂
Is the guy in the thumbail a natty ? 🤔
cant grow your delts ? might as well fuck em up for good.
I can't do lateral raises because it hurts as hell on my left shoulder, even if I do the movement without any actual weight, so I avoid that exercise at all cost. I can't raise my arm to 90 degrees without feelin major pain in my left shoulder, any advice?
Exactly how I do it since forever.
Delts still looking shit. But that's my fault. The technique is I think how it supposed to be done.
Dangerous position for your shoulders.

Just use cables
This tip helped me out a lot, thanks!
sweet, thats how ive always done them
I'm a simple girl, I see hot guy, I press like. Plus, Omar is there too!
LOL this Jordan guys latest video has been deleted on both his own channel and Omar's channel after the mountain of backlash he got for being a total douche to Jeff Cavaliere 😂😂😂
This dude looks like a Norwegian Viking!
There's degrees of internal rotation, what these dudes are talking about is not what Jeff is talking bout. To be honest, even if he is in "internal rotation", it doesn't really look like it, it looks pretty neutral to be honest. Wrist is supinated but in line with shoulder. What Jeff is talking about, even in his "don't do this" thumbnail, is the wrist being visibly lower than the elbow with a distinct downturn of the thumb which is not what Jordan is doing here.
Can you do a video on how to grow that beard??!!! GLORIOUS!
ı dont like how this thing is going. bruh just stop getting roiders to give tips
Nothing new! Nothing new! Dumbells – worst way to train the delts. No resistance through 70% of the movement. Sorry to be such a "Meany".
Might as well do a wide grip upright row lol
My left shoulder starts pinching when I do lateral raises..
It works
One of the major things which helped that I do not think was mentioned; the grip without use of thumbs,my god! This is gold guys thank you! My first competition in a few months and really needed this, always form checking and trying to isolate muscle as best as possible. Defo will need to rewatch again !
And Cavaliere sayin': What's up guys. Headin' for a serious impingement or what??!
Great training
