Keto works for me, might not work for everyone, it's easy, I eat more Calories in smaller amounts of food, I increase strength because you have to be Keto ADAPTED which will not happen first 3 months. a CORRECTLY done Keto diet is high in fiber and does not only consist of Beef and Bacon. There is more studies than only Brad Sch., other research shows no difference in performance (Volek eg).
You can also ask the question why should a high carb diet be better?

keto might get you shredded but it will also get you cancer, diabetes and heart disease ! vegan/plantbased would be the better option for muscle but also being healthy !

Sorry guys. There is nothing about the TRUTH about ketogenic diets in this video. Only some little things that are quite right, but rely just on simple common sense. You normally do some research, Omar. What the hell haeppened to you? Is the hunger for cookies too strong? 😉

I just think high carb diets are more enjoyable honestly. My carbs are 50% of my total caloric intake and I've never had a problem staying lean because of this.

Its all about diet adherence. If 2 diets have the identical calorie restriction but one of them makes you "feel" much better in the gym then that is a better diet, even though on paper they are identical.

Keto simply makes some people "feel" better than a classic calorie restriction based diet does. This is why I liked keto, the gym was still totally doable and I had great success.

When you are in ketosis either through fasting or a ketogenic diet the body will actually hold on to carbohydrates better versus on a high carb diet. Also when you are "fat adapted" ketones (they kinda work like a hormone) will try to protect your muscles and consequently glycogen (carbs in the muscles). So you actually store glycogen better that's why you see endurance sport athletes using ketogenic with such great success.

They think cheese has a lot of carbs in it startin around 42:00 lol. All natural cheese has <1g carb per serving. On keto now, lost ~30 lbs so far in 2 months, feel great, have all my vitamins, building/keeping muscle, etc. However, I wouldn't do it if I wanted big bulk, playing basketball for 3 hours a day or was an extreme athlete; need those carbs. But with people who have issues with their weight, diabetes, etc; do it, it suppresses appetite. Plenty of doctor research that proves Keto works well with losing weight in those cases with diabetes. Having said that, I agree with Dr. Brad, you NEED to stick to your diet, for months, to see good results. But I have also seen good results on other diets with carbs. But I agree, at the end of the day, controlling calories is the key to any diet, especially Keto. Eating 2lbs of bacon and cheese a day isn't going to help you lose weight.

The only reason we like sugar is because it was so rare in nature and is a easy source energy. The avarege surgery drink has more sugar then what and early human would have had in months, so saying sugar is bad is not to far from the truth. I like Keto but i think prolonged water fasting is even better for health problems, I do a 5 to 7 day water fast once a year and that has helped immensely for my auto immune disorder.

Any body who tries keto, tell me how your performance drops and how you feel like you have ebola while transitioning. Also 15 minutes rest between sets in order to hit your numbers aka 4 hours in the gym every day and shit recovery? Fuck no.

This Dr. knows very little about KETO diet. 48:15 NO FIBER?!!! Nutritional keto diet includes leafy greens and non starchy vegetables. Please! Interview someone knowledgeable about 'Nutritional' KETO diet.

Ask him what do most cancers feed on. Without protein your health will deteriorate. Without fat your health will deteriorate. Without carbs nothing negative will happen. There's no essential carb. Fasting: Nothing magical about it?! This guy is ignorant.
