overhead paused squats is brutal for lover traps. you have to contract your scapula hard, because you will lose balance ant fall down. try it out
I will try this as I'm having big problems with good, solid and steady bench press.

Interestingly enough recently I was in a bench slump and realized that I hadn't been making sure my scap was tight, I've been doing slow rear delt flies and face pulls pre bench.

So during the benching your just keeping the blades together .
Like your upper back is a cushion separating you from the bench seat
It's physically impossible for me to bench all the way down to chest without shrugging or rolling my shoulders forward even with just the bar. Any idea why? mobility issue maybe?
i have no problem keeping my shoulders back, but goddamn i always start to shrug up. Hard to keep them shoulders down. Gotta try this
