It’s leg day! This at home leg workout will build lean muscle creating tone and definition in those legs! Get ready to feel the burn – we’ve got 4 sets of each lower body exercise to power through.
Breakdown: 10 reps x 4 straight sets
Equipment Needed: dumbbells + exercise mat or other soft surface.
*Dumbbells are always optional. You can add them or remove them from any exercise. You do you! 🙂 Choose a weight that is challenging but allows you to perform each movement with control and correct form. This weight will be different for each individual!

Wow another stellar workout thank you so much Heather, I’ve not kept a consistent workout in 10+ years and I’m so thrilled to be still at it. This workout I realized either I’m much stronger or this was an easier workout. Or my legs and abs in comparison are just spaghetti and jelly!

I've been doing the 12 week plan and I had to stop this one halfway through. It hurt my knees doing the warmup and then I just couldn't do 30 minutes of squats. Sorry, have loved all the other workout, this one just wasn't for me and my poor knees.

WEEK 8 Day 3: Partially completed! I tried my level best to just not let it go but I just couldn't.. My legs are too sore from yesterday and working out now made it even worse.. I did half the session and now I am just listening to my body and not pushing further! It feels bad but I am gonna try this one again and until I dont do it completely!
Great workout. Better than any gym. No over the top ra ra ra. You are great Heather. 65 and a half years but am still sticking to it.
I figured out the key to making jump squats more bearable and fun: focus on what I've heard called a "puppet-string" move of being PULLED UP rather than the squat part! I realized Heather always gets enough air to point her toes and straighten her hands… so if you pretend you're a puppet on strings being pulled UP and your toes and hands are hanging straight down, it's kinda fun! (And makes my quads and glutes seem to hurt less 😉

Oh Heather it feels like you really ruined my local gym for me! I went back to my gym after the lockdown only to realize that your content is 10 times better! I will keep my memberships for all the 'extras' like treadmills and sauna but I will stick to your program. I also tried many programs online – some better than others – but your is my true favorite. Loved this one. My knees couldn't take the broad jumps, so I ran up and down a flight of stairs instead. I capped it off with the foam roller stretch you posted, which hit the spot (literally and figuratively). ThanksQ
Thank you! I'm loving the 12 week plan! One of my general questions came up in doing this workout. When I do deadlifts in exercise classes & videos, they feel too easy, like I'm not working any muscles. I have started doubling my weights (to 2 15 lb weights) for the deadlifts, and I have watched a video online about proper form (and of course watched Heather carefully). Any advice from anyone on why the deadlift might be feeling too easy for me?
An older one but of course a goodie! I’m thinking of going back and doing the program again !
Is there an alternative for broad jumps and squat jumps (for people with not very strong knees)?
I quite enjoyed this one….even the jump squats 😆🙌🏻 can't believe I'm nearly done with Week 8 already. I'm just hoping Week 9 isn't as bad as everyone says it is 🙈😨
