How to perform a slow muscle up. A slow muscle up is a muscle up without the momentum involved that a regular muscle up has. It is a great triceps workout. You should be able to perform 10 regular muscle ups before beginning training for this move.

In a muscle up legs are most important it's the angle of the legs you can't have them straight notice the leg transition also when you start you will always do one hand first than the other after you get used to it after allot of time you will use both arms but you won't get it after a long time of practice I know because I have lived it.
Also false grip is allot easier than normal you won't get a slow muscle up until after you master both arms good form muscle up and can do at least 10.Also try to do other exercises like handstands, front levers,back levers to strenghthen your body more after you do all that you will be able to do this.
This is a little bit weird but I can do a slow muscle up more easily than a fast muscle up :S. I don't understand why
Will practicing hangs provide the strength for pull ups? I'm proficient in regular pull ups but with the false grip I'm having the hardest time.
If I barely can false grip deadhang hold because of my powerlessness wrist strength, then what exercise should I do for wrist strengthening?
learn normal muscle ups … then learn muscle up on rings .. ( normal without swing) then u can do this realy easy … I learned muscle up (1/2 with swing) per 6 months then 1 week on rings (without swing ) and 1st try succes false grip
Christian N I'm the same this is because you are better in the bar dips and negative mucle ups than the pull ups . If you strugle with a normal mucle ups but you can do slow mucle ups the problem is in the pull ups .

bro, isn't using your wrist like that dangerous? can't you fuck up blood circulation to your hands, or even nerve signaling. Idk if I would recommend hanging off of your wrist like that. bad idea, not worth it, do something else

Is there a point in mastering the false grip? Doesn’t it take grip strength out of the equation? I can already do a lot of muscle ups with a regular grip. False grip kind of sounds like cheating to me

Interesting, I've never tried the false grip. Just doing explosive muscle-ups (no swing) so far.

I can 15 full strict pullups wide grip easily, im solid muscle and lean. I cant do as dingle muscle up but I can do a front lever thats about it lol

First time I have ever done something this cool first try without any specific training. Let’s mother fudddddging go!!!! (I have trained calisthenics hardcore for a few weeks now and off and on for a year, so it’s not like I started off from nowhere. Just wanted to say this so people know it isn’t easy)
