This video was great! It's nice to focus on form sometimes I try fast paced videos I may not be ready for and feel lost on if I am doing it correctly. I cannot wait to try your other videos.

This is one of my FAVORITE workouts!  I found it on SparkPeople, and I do this about once a week (with other videos throughout the week).  So great!

I really love your energy (motivating without being annoying), humor and respect for people with all levels of (un)fit-ness. I'm barely starting and the moves are simple, easy to follow, you give us time to concentrate on posture/intent to make them effective. I got some muscles aching without bouncing all around (I have neighbours downstairs), I feel energized for my day, and without feeling confused by the routine. Thank you so much!

Do you have any idea/workouts for extremely obese people? My Mom can't get down onto the floor and she doesn't have much endurance but wants to begin exercising. Would this be a good workout for her to begin with?

Hi Jessica-  I am not a beginner having been an avid exerciser for 25 years, but I loved this one. I've been exercising with you every day for the last 10 weeks since I found your channel through the Fred Meyer Store Magazine. I'm amazed how interesting your workouts all are…This beginner one was the perfect addition to the first day of the September schedule, since I wanted a little more, but not too much. Thank you

At first I was a little off-put by the "family affair" approach to this video, but as I've followed through, I've found that it has an interesting side effect: It's like "Hey, this lady has a mom, and dogs, and a house… she's a normal person, I can do this." A lot of other videos create a kind of isolated fitness world where already fit people exercise in a fitness vacuum. This feels more open and accessible, and therefore more inclusive and achievable. Thank you to you and your mom for your hard work. I'll be back for sure.

Just tried it out. Good work out. I am so stiff round the lower back and upper shoulders it is hard but I am not forcing anything as I cannot get good until I have done little at a time. My right wrist is very bad and to go against the wall and put it on the chair was quite a challenge but I did it very gently and I have come to no harm. I shall do this work out 2 weeks every other day, to feel comfortable and see how it does help me.

First day.  I had to do a few less reps sometimes but so far so good.  It is wonderful not to have to go out to the gym  in this frigid weather. I am grateful that you generously provide these for us.

Thank you so much. I'm an obese person, and I'm incredibly embarrassed to work out in front of people. With your videos and a proper diet I've been able to trim down 10 pounds of weight and feel great about myself again!

I just came across your video and I loved it! I did everything you showed in the video. It's the first day i've worked out in awhile. I'm hoping to do this on a regular basis. Any ideas on how often I should do these workouts? And thanks again for the help! It made me feel better as soon as I was done for the first day! <3

I have pretty bad knees. I used to be very into fitness years ago and there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't do intense cardio and/or strength training for at least an hour to two hours. Somewhere along the way I fell off, but now I'm ready to get back to where I used to be fitness wise. Well, when I tried to just jump back into working out it didn't go so well. My knees ached like crazy and I could not complete my workout. I finally had to admit to myself, as ashamed as it made me feel, that I needed a gentle beginner workout. One way or another I found myself here and I am loving this workout so far. I really feel that after a couple weeks of this that I will be ready to get back into the heavy routines that I once used to find so simple. Thank you for helping me get back on my feet. You have a new subscriber. 🙂

I have almost 2 yr old twins and a 4 year old and have put on some weight. I also have 2 bulging discs in my lower back. I have a significant amount of pain sometimes. I started using this workout and moves from some of your other videos and counting calories and have lost almost 10lbs in a little over a week. This is amazing for me. I know it won't happen every week but just that and the muscle building helps my back already feel better.

This is really a very nice and and fun exercise. But it's really hard for beginners, even with the easy options. Keep that in mind when you try! Made me sweat heaviliy. Enjoy nevertheless! .-)

thank you Jessica for teaching us easy way of workout without putting pressure on the knee joint. I was pushing myself too hard to achieve the work out level before.now I have developed a problem with my right leg .as I bent to the side keeping my hands up I feel pain on upper right leg side even if I keep the belly tuck in.since I found you I'm doing your low impact cardio and stretching from last week.also I feel pain on upper left chest bone while sucking the belly in. do you think it's a sciatica pain?

i am a disabled 38 year old female who is about 60 pounds overweight, i suffer from many bone and tissue diseases which i was born with as well as a non curable lung disease…i recently started watching what and how much i eat as well as no more soda..only water…i do my best to try and walk 4 miles a night, but it depends how mu bones and lungs do….before i began these exercises, i watched the video to even see if i can do these, and most i cant do..i dont think i can do the over the head arm stretches as my arms can only reach so high, also with my spine disease, i can only bend over so far…so im just wondering if i would get same results as if i were doing them just like you?? i also keep oxygen near by if i need it

I have the connective tissue disease, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Working out for me is difficult because I dislocate very easily. But if I don't strengthen my muscles my joints are unstable and I am in terrible pain. This workout is perfect for me. I can modify if I need to. Great workout for real people! Thanks Ladies!

This video is a great way for beginners to start exercising. So many 'beginner' workouts are way too hard for real beginners. Jessica continuously describes how to modify the moves if they are too hard, and reminds you that you can take a break when you need to.
