I've been training for a few months now (technically 1.5y but with a few huge breaks 5-6month) I had a horrible day at the gym today, my bench was terrible. 70kg for 4 on the bench, did more last time, squat 90×8 then 5 reps for the other 2 sets, which is better than the 8-5-3 I did last time. My deadlift is also a lot better 95×10 was 95×7 last time I went. Thinking of moving to 100kg on the deadlift for the 3 figure ego boost. Too bad I still look like an Auschwitz survivor at 175lbs/ 80kg.

Please Help😫
I’ve been pulling conventional deadlifts for years and can’t ever seem to prevent shearing stress on the lower back. It goes away within about half an hour but it’s always the limiting factor in my deadlift. I keep my back straight as an arrow but my back is excruciatingly sore.
Is this a good reason to switch to sumo?

I'm sorry but it shouldn't take someone naturally an entire year to add 5-10lbs to their bench. My max was 285 and within 4-5 months my current max is 325. Idk if it's because of genetics or what but even with the shittiest genes it shouldn't take you a year to add 10lbs to your bench hell even 5lbs
