Would you suggest doing th ohp like a olympic press with internal rotation of the shoulders at the top and elevated traps?

I always felt a narrow grip felt natural and more powerful. That's what amazes me about Larry Wheels, he presses with such a wide grip

I'm really grateful you also included kgs. Keep up the good work Omar

What a bullshit form. Free weights are meant to move in the line of the gravity(perpendicular to the floor) for continuous tension. Look at the path of your barbell , its not in a straight line . So the muscle(anterior delt) is being worked only at the bottom and only at the top of the movement. Rest in between is a waste as no tension on the muscle.

I like the push press more. At times I do overhead press too.

You lift for god knows how many years and can overhead press for 102kg x5. Now I know its way harder than my newbie mind would lead me to believe and am kinda proud of my 50kg as a somewhat beginner.

Amazing! Thank you. You are the 4th guy who got the guts to talk about the guts going in wrong places. Any recommendations? Thank you.

As my old strength coach says, "squeeze your glutes like your in prison!". I found landmine presses extremely helpful for feeling lat activation.

Listen lads, band work prior to OHP is vital for shoulder health. Face pulls, pull downs. Y shapes, etc.

Then, dont neglect the push press. The push press (with correct form) allows your body to not only get used to more mass, but allows you to train stacking (as mentioned by Omar)

Great tips on the overhead press. Btw I just voted for you on this website http://www.filtring.com/topic/best-youtube-fitness-channel/ because for me you're the most valuable fitness channel out there

I heard that when you train your calves it uses up all your recovery so you can't recover anymore… and you actually lose muscle..

My wrists sounds like they are crushing and it feels hella uncomftable while doing it standing, i hate pretty big brachiallis and it feels like the bar/weight is stacking on top of those instead of just being able to lay it on my clavicle, i can do them seated military press with full range of motion touching top of the chest etc. with no pain at all

Try pressing 225 lbs?
I'm struggling to press 70lbs for 5 sets of 5 :-/

You confused me when you mention the narrow grip being slightly WIDER than shoulder-width. Wouldn't a wider grip be wider than shoulder-width and a narrow grip narrow than shoulder-width or at shoulder width?

Update: NVM I understand now. I grabbed a barbell from my gym and placed myself in the OHP position and the narrow grip does go wider than shoulder-width
