Back with another video, took a week off as I get to the bottom of this hernia situation.
This past week on an Uber trip, the driver opened up to me about his steroid use. He started out natural, didn't like the gains he was experiencing, hopped on steroids and was pretty satisfied until he injured his shoulder. This caused him to lose a lot of his gains and hate the way he looks. He had taken a ten year break from lifting. In the car he was wearing several layers of clothing and a jacket (despite it being pretty warm) to cover up his physique. He spoke incessantly on how he was saving up to do another cycle that would make him even bigger.
Lets talk today about bigorexia.
It's just that you'll never look as good as your pump.. Very sad indeed
Always has quality content. Love this guy no homo.
Speaking Big Facts.
Make a video about half natty lighting
This really hit me Omar.. I started lifting 3-4 years ago, it started being once or twice a week, and then i got more and more into it training 5-6 times a week and while i never noticed change myself, others did and when they pointed it out it made me a little happy, but it wasnt good enough.. In my eyes i looked like shit and i kept thinking to myself "why are my genetics so bad.. etc etc", i looked at my other friends who had trained just as long as i had or even a little less, but with much greater progress and I was happy for them, but deep inside I was comparing myself to them and it made me mad, not at them of course, but at myself for looking so terrible in comparison.. All of this eventually lead me to going back to training once or twice a week and now i rarely go.. I dont have the drive nor the motivation to go back..
Thanks for the video.
Your annoying
How about never feeling cut enough?
Did omar quote dom mazzetti?
Same thing happens with car guys not finding their car to be fast enough to stop throwing money at it. Basically these type people are searching for a happiness at the end of the rainbow that never comes.
BTW, 666th comment. Weird.
Its crazy you made this video. The other day I came across a pic of myself from 2 years ago when I was just getting the feel for the gym n shit and tried to recreate the pic to see if I made progress and I was not happy with what I saw, fuckin tore myself to shreds. I talked to some family and good friends and they told me I was crazy and that I looked great but since then I’ve been over eating every night for hours and hours to gain weight and I’m just beating my own ass over it, I’m only 21, I definitely have Body dysmorphia
Flex shows??
Very interesting info! Great vid ✌🏻
The background is fake anyone else notice
Didn't realize how much I fall into this category and don't know how to think about it
dude you don't even look small next to Larry???
Nice video. Larry is truly a beast! Props for posing next to him! I'd say; life is your journey, know why you get into things e.g. bodybuilding, don't forget why you started and make sure you know how far to push it. Some people take things to the extreme others not. At the end of the day..whatever anyone says or however competitive it gets, it's up to you. Have a nice day bro. Subscribed.
thanks this helped me.
I do this all the time but just thought it was me being self conscious
Good video – the struggle is real. I KNOW I have it.
i box, have done since i was a kid, i fight at 165. and i just realised a few weeks back i basically have an eating disorder. tbh i believe most fighters do, it's just so normalised and part of our culture.
not just girls with body disorders
I can be upfront about it, I don't believe I ever had that muscle dysphoria but what my problem was back when I first started working out was constantly over working myself. I always got caught up with the waiting process and wishing the gains/ progress would come faster. This was equally as bad bc I would go to the gym do my sets but then just pile more weight or just overworked my body until I threw up. Gave myself a few days rest (turns into weeks etc) then back to gym and overwork myself again. Im usually comfortable in my own skin but had to learn the value of patience in the gym and taking care of your body in general.
half? no such hing as half natty. you just didn't want to call him out.
I think this is a big thing for all athletes. I'm not a body builder by any means, just your average highschool high performing athlete. In all sports you won't be good enough, you'll never be fast enough, strong enough and your technique will never be tight enough. With body building, all of this applies, but of course, in the sense of much stronger insecurities, you're not competing based on agility, strength etc, your show is your body. Food for thought though bro
The trap of self improvement (in any field) is that to improve people usually see themselves as insufficient thus needing improvement.
You dont need to be broken to aspire to become better!
One day Larry will get on your level.
tf is a half natty?
Omarisuf what's your thought on supplements like gat testrol combined with creatine and vitamin d?
I came here for the chair review!!!! What is this!!!
Omar, for what it's worth you looked damn good!
It's cuz nattys don't get respect anymore that's why we feel like shit
Omar's becoming like a Guru
you make some knowledgeable videos bro
People always forget being fat is another option besides being lean on roids
U want to get big u have to eat big an lift an rest ur body
Omar, love you man!
wow….I didnt realize this was a thing, yeah I suffer from this sometime
I will always feel small – BUT I think I'd rather be small and strong then big and weak – so I can run a Marathon and still deadlift 330 ez. But the day you started lifting was the day you started being small – forever :'D but it's okay to feel small and vulnerable, it's what seperates us from the gods, and they envy us for it!
You and Larry have one thing in common..
No calves
if you are natural and average genetics you have 2 choices basically. Be big or be ripped. You can get pretty big if you don't mind hanging around 16-20% body fat. Either that or train for 10+ years.
Don't compare yourself to other bodybuilders, compare yourself to the normal dude walking the street who doesn't take exercise seriously because in the end that's who you are competing with.
Dude fked me up with the posing shenanigans. Had a great laugh 😀
