I went vegan for 12 weeks. I loved how I felt! I was slamming my workouts! I tried to get as much protein as I could but the appearance of my body changed. I looked soft. We always relate the gold star of fitness as having a solid body but they don't necessarily go hand in hand. I think vegan would be great for athletic performance if I were an athlete. But as far as aesthetics, my body looks better with more protein. Right now I'm weight lifting and counting macros.

Tiffany, choose whole food to nurture your body: Ezekiel bread, potatoes, quinoa, legumes, fruits, veggies, edamame (green soy beans) are fun to eat also for children. They taste like buttery peas.
Sometimes you eat too little, most of the times you eat food that contains fat. If you want to lose fat and have a good muscle tones, you must bring your insulin and sugar level in balance and that is possible if you avoid food that contains fat (even healthy fats!) for some time. So your body burns your own and then the insulin and sugar can work properly and you get even more energy and lose weight.
