This is my most comprehensive answer on this topic. For certain sections of the population, training to failure CAN be very useful. For others, it can completely useless. For the average individual, it is context dependent when you use training harder.
To me training until failure is mostly hypertrophy specific. However if I use the right methods of milking that failure I do get a strength carry over. Say I'm doing weighted pull ups, and I fail. I would keep pulling from the point I failed at until I undergo an involuntary eccentric, then I can cheat my way to the top, and hold myself there until I undergo another involuntart eccentric. If I just stopped at concentric failure then cheated my way up to do eccentrics then I would just be getting more muscle damage. If the eccentric is involuntary then I am still strength training.
I train to failure almost every exercise.. hmmm, maybe that’s why I’m only 230lbs 10%…. maybe if I didn’t I could be under 200 and close to 20% like I always dreamed of 🙃
I can agree whit Omar because he have muscles and long hair! Apart from that I found that the training to failure is needed to produce growth when the weights used (they count as intensity aswell) are below the minimum intensity needed for stimulation.Works on any exercise like for exemple you train squads whit 150kg sets of 4 whitout failure and you get gains but at the same time you need to go to failure for you pathetic bench press whit 80kg because 80kg is not enought intensity to produce result as 150kg is for the squad!

Who here trains to failure?!
Working at McDonald's with a flat chest. 😂😂
You aren't training truly to failure until you choke yourself out with a front squat.
aaand his bench form lmao….ffs. Just waiting for his shoulders to pop any time soon.
Beginners shouldn't train to failure.
And four reps isn't focusing on hypertrophy.
Omar with his shirt on, it looks like the guy has only been lifting for only a year.
Shirt off – WOAAHHHH
This is so shit lol
I would be a failure if I train to failure. But that doesn't mean I'm a sucessful only becaude I suceed in my training.
Omar should do a natural bodybuilding competition
