Adam Sandel decided he would break the world in pull ups for 1 minute. So he begins his journey. But not at all like how you would expect. Nope it wasn’t pull ups every single day as much as you can. This to him is a recipe for a disaster. He actually only maxes out a handful of times before the actual record.

So what’s his secret? 2 Days of training pull ups a week. Yup, you heard that right. Only 2 days. 1 hard day, & 1 light day.

His Workout
2x A Week

Hard Day
Phase 1
5 Reps – 6 Sets 70lbs
2 minute rest in-between sets (super sets with an ab routine)
Phase 2
10 Reps – 4 Sets 45lbs
1 Minute Rest (super set with 10 dips)
Phase 3
3 sets of 20-30 pull ups BW
4-5 minute rest

Light Day
Phase 2 (from above)
Phase 3 (from above)

He aims for all his pull ups to be chest to bar. On the other days he focuses on running, & pushing. 2x a week he focuses on sprints, 1x a week he focuses on long distance. The cardio is one of his “secrets”
His Workout Schedule looks like

Monday
Hard Pull Ups Day (also does push ups & dips but focuses on pull ups)

Tuesday
Legs + Running

Wednesday
Push Ups & Dips

Thursday
Legs + Running

Friday
Light Pull Ups Day (also does push ups & dips but focuses on pull ups)

Saturday
Legs + Running

Sunday
Not sure

Now Adam plans on tackling the World Record for Muscle ups. Wish him the best.

This was 🔥. I must say I personally dislike the min records. Glad you broke that tho. Is there a requirement for hand distance or distance one has to pull up? Seem like most of the 1 min records can be “cheated”. Not to take anything away from this record for sure it’s hard. Just saying, if a smaller guy with shorter arms and longer chin comes thrue with wider grip thats like a cheat code, lol. Hope you crush that muscle up record! Thanks for sharing.

You guys should check a channel called BackToTheBasics, 2 guys from Serbia, and one of them also broke the record for 1 minute pull ups. They are beasts!

What's up fellas! Hey I'm passing by real quick. I saw 7 minutes of this video. My attention span is short. Sorry I can't stick by any longer. Can anyone please post this 68 in a min Guinness World record video link? Thanks in advance and Stay Strong & Get Stronger! 💪🏽

Either I've been doing way too much pull up (all the way up, until the bar is in my chest), or this guy is not doing the whole motion.
If that's a pull up, me looking down should count as a squat.
