so what should I do when it comes to weight and reps for the hip addiction and abduction machines? should my fiancée and I focus on going light with high reps or focus on low reps and Increasing weight? or is it important to do both like on most all other exercises?

when you are leaning forward you are isolating your gluteus maximus so it's becoming much more easier unlike when you are resting back it's focusing on gluteus medius so it's becoming a bit difficult to do it. ^^

As a big tip. Don't use heavy weights on this. It will bruise your hip and hurt like crazy. Took me a long time before I could do this again.
