@TheDarknessawait if you work out hard like you say you are i guess you need more protein and more rests i guess.. resting and sleep is a very big factor in the development of your muscles

@opaibxz I'm completely ripped now and so stoked I made it happen. It's all about finding the right workout and the right eating habits together. Daniel Murray is the king of abs. He might start charging for this so get it quick > bit.ly/KRLQvf?=fxexte

This is a much easier for beginners using a barbell.

fuck, that made me LOL for real

Reply
oldirtybrza June 9, 2012 - 4:47 am

The guy's knees are twisting, this is bad for the knees. I've got the core strength that I can do that (but I don't cause I have other movements I prefer) but I know my knees would stay static. Look at the thighs sway, but try not to barf (he looks like of ridiculous)

Reply
oldirtybrza June 9, 2012 - 4:52 am

I *suppose* if the proper foot twists in the same direction (like when you throw a punch, and you pivot on the back foot, same side as your punch) then that would be ok, but by the looks of it I'm guessing his feet are staying flat and not moving but his knees are. I could be wrong.

Hello Scott, I did a version of this exercise with a barbell and I felt a lot of it in my mid back. Is this suppose to happen?

Reply
selfsenter July 21, 2012 - 12:29 pm

dont know why u restrict the movement to left and right.. Try twisting downwards as you move your arm back , and upwards.. free range motion.. theres a ton of muscle to define in that area which u miss doing straighforward motion

what muscles do these work?

Reply
LuvThyMind29 March 8, 2013 - 10:18 am

This would primarily work the shoulders though…You want resistance to come from the sides, not from above (gravity pushing down on the weights).

Great exercise pal. Just one question: are there any precautions we should take when doing this? It seems dangerous for the spine if it gets out of control.

Reply
Sangrex2 May 12, 2013 - 7:47 pm

would this slightly help the shoulders too? because youre holding the weights up with your arms?

Hey, have you considered "MuscLeader" (just search Google)? There you will find a great free video explaining how to gain visible muscle very fast while eliminating body fat as well. Kev and hundreds of guys with the same goal enjoyed great results using this methodology. I hope it works for you as well.

Is this exercise treated 8 to 12 reps then up the weight as you progress? Many thanks

Reply
Cameron G July 10, 2015 - 5:04 pm

Should be doing it slow and not jerking. That is how eventual injury comes about. To my understanding, one is supposed to stop with the abs/core/oblique and then twist back around. Don't let kinetic energy steal your workout!!!

Wouldn't this be better with cables, considering that with dumbbells, gravity is pulling downward?
