I don't see how this stretches the pec muscles on the way down. I think your body needs to be raised at least 6 inches off the floor. Like having a miniature bench press. I am going to build one designed for floor presses.

And why bring up the knees keeping it pointed to above direction while doing the exercise? What's the difference between keeping the legs straight and bending it like this?

I don't have a bench, can I do these for now instead? I got the barbell and weights, next up power rack, then the bench
Missing some range of motion that you would get on a bench, you can't drop it down to your chest. Probably no benefit doing this unless you just can't get a bench
So far I am at 80lb total 20 reps. I need heavier weights

Doing this exercise is much safer than standard presses, of course will use less weight as you will rely less on momentum and no leg leverage.

Good to know I can actually do these on the floor. What with the lockdown in Melbourne and all I'm forced to work out at home and at home I only have basic dumb bells and a small barbell. Can only do so much haha.

I bummed my shoulder last year and haven't been able to do dumbbell bench or flys, until I saw Scooby doing them on the floor. Tried it, and it works. I'm so happy because now I can finally start growing my underdeveloped pecs.

And how do you put them on legs when the db are to heavy?
when i bring the dumbells down, am i bringing them down to the floor or slightly above? cuz if i bring them to the floor isnt that a rest?
I always thought these weren't good to do but I found out they are just as good as bench pressing
