i feel so unbalanced when i watch this..
haha i like john the bike guy very nice guy
I'm a downhill MTBer, i ride a proper bike and know that you could fit all that stuff to your bike with the use of just one spanner instead of paying for a bike shop to put your bike together 😉 and you're meant to ride in the same direction as the traffic haha. and you should ride on the road more, even though road wheels are build to take abuse, you'll be able to get a lot better feedback from the tires if you ride on the road where it's smooth. still, good vid, keep riding 🙂
also scott listen to linkin park, old school! haha i love linkin park still though i don't listen to them that much anymore
Scarry riding on the road here. In The Netherlands we have bike lanes everywhere just like car lanes.
@hakirby Water = bad for bike?
@eyesthatwatch69 your suppose to ride against the flow of traffic
wont fit in my caw :L
Thank you for reminding me how lucky I am to live on the edge of town where I can ride and blade without any traffic on country roads
Bike helmets do look cool if you got TLD haha. Scott you should get a Mountain bike to get some big Air!! I like a lot the Quality of these Go PRO's

Unless laws differ in your state, it's illegal and dangerous to bike against the traffic and on sidewalks. When you bike, you ride as if you are a car and WITH the traffic. Pedestrians on the other hand are suppose to walk against so you can see traffic coming.
Wow, You are dangerous on the road, And with headphones. lol. I'm glad you are riding with others who can keep you in line, I LOVE that bike. What a beauty it is. BTW. The others on here are right, riding against traffic is a total NO NO, Seriously, it totally confuses a driver, esp if it's someone who is not that good at driving.
scott if u mind me asking how much did ur bike cost?
@nick121690 actually your supposed to ride with the flow of traffic and your supposed to follow car road rules.
"no excuses, indoor bike trainer OOOOH YEAAHH"
Look at that hair cut!!!
@StoneColdCarlll Scotty doesnt play games people! We should know that by now.
Bob should start a youtube channel.
@tigergreg8 Who cares. Scott Herman can do whatever he wants because he is the equivalent to Chuck Norris.
@TheAlexkamen ohhhhhhhh yeah!!!!
go mountainbiking instead. would be so much more awesome.
that bike cam is cool…i want one!!
Man!!!! I am going to ride my bike now!!!!
Please just wear that helmet while you are working out…
you are on the wrong side of the rode
Thumbs up if you think Scott Herman is the hottest guy in the world! 🙂
Scott, first you're awesome. Second, consider hiring a biking coach for the weekend to teach tricks, technique, and safety. It wouldn't be that much, and could really make a difference in getting you in one piece to SF, plus you'll learn all kinds of cool things about gearing, slowing without braking, balance, hill-climbing and so on. The riders in CA are advantaged in that they have training leaders, and it helps new riders. I don't want to see you hurt. Ask the bike shop for a recommendation.
@nick121690 riding against the flow of traffic is significantly increases the risk of accidents. common misconception
Try this with a Fixed Gear bike, Scott. =)
@TheDarkKnightFalls thats the way i was always taught. the reason you ride against traffic is so you can see the traffic coming at you and they see you much better. the traffic coming from the rear is on the other side of the road so there is little to no risk of them hitting you. also you can make eye contact much better riding against traffic
@nick121690 yea, I was taught this as a child too, but have had it lectured out of me by a few pro cyclists so I looked it up and it turns out that it is the much more dangerous way! go figure, but I guess it does make sense that facing cars head on can be dangerous I guess
A year ago I got into riding bikes and I always get really annoyed when I plan a bike-ride/trip and it starts raining!
Coolest guy ever!
im from australia and in australia the drivers really hate bike riders but where ur from its like as if everyone loves bike riders
Bike riding is far more enjoyable when you take the seat off.
why are u riding on the wrong side of the road?
Nice hair!
Always Ride with traffic, not against! Be safe!
Aww people are so nice where you live. . . they would of just hit me haha.
Love your hair … lookin' good
It's much safer to ride your bike on the street like jumpingforgold1 said because people don't expect people to be shooting at 15-20mph down a sidewalk. Also, I noticed you had an iPod. Using ear buds while biking is dangerous because you can't hear the traffic around you. I just bought a helmet-mounted 'Tunebug Vibe' (just google it) to turn my helmet into a speaker. It connects via bluetooth to my phone's music and was a great investment. So glad you started cycling. Keep the vids coming.
You do know your suppose to ride with traffic not against, right?
these roads look dangerous. you should take a ride in Copenhagen/Denmark.
second best cycling city in the world, if you ever come to Denmark, rent a bike =)
Everyone is right, ride with traffic, not against it! Be safe bro
