Scoot or someone please answer, i am a beginner weightlifter, ive been doing it for 2 and a half months, i am 14 years old 5'10, if i continue to lift weights is it going to stop my growth process? My mom is always nagging me bout it.
@tavo4060 yes, soon enough you'll actually start to lose height. i recommend starting to lift weights at around age 18-20 years.

@tavo4060 no, weight lifting in your teens will not stunt your growth. unless you do exercises with weight above your spine. (squats, shoulder press, etc.) because that will compress your spine. wait until about 20 or so to do those exercises if possible.

@ScottHermanFitness since 1 years & half I start gym with your workout (bicep tricep chest shoulder legs etc…. ) @ 400 pounds i'm now @ 300 pounds with way more muscular mass going to gym 6 days / week and i love it i just want to thank you for your tips and the motivation 🙂 (Sorry for the bad english i'm a french Canadian)

@tavo4060 lol i was joking its ok to lift now, and you won't lose any inches of extra height just make sure your not putting TOO much weight on your shoulders because that will eventually affect your growth.
